“Can't wait to bring the rest of the family!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2015

Last year we had the joy of staying with "Farmer Mark and Hazel" at their lovely farm home. My daughter and I stayed just after the holidays and so we had the house to ourselves. Despite some initial wet weather, we had a great time. The hospitality of the hosts is unmatched. Hazel put together a suggested itinerary for the surrounding area and Mark took us on morning farm tours when the weather allowed. Breakfast is definitely worth waking up early for. We plan to come back one day and bring the rest of the family too.
ps. Mark, your "twinkle in the eye" prediction was right again: it was another girl!

Room Tip: My little one loved the tree bunk bed!

We absolutely loved staying with Hazel and Mark in 2012. They were the warmest and friendliest hosts and the room was very comfortable. They helped us enormously on where to go and what to do and we had the most amazing breakfast. The baked oatmeal is still one of our favourite breakfasts which we make at home in South Africa. We loved walking the llamas and seeing the farmyard. I highly recommend this beautiful, warm and homely farm stay,

We love it at Airy Hill Farm. We stayed at Airy Hill Farm many times. Our kids had an amazing time as always. Mark and Hazel are wonderful and treat us so good everytime. Their home is beautiful and Hazel makes the most delicious breakfast all the time. The kids had so much fun walking the mintuare horses and alpacas. We can't wait to come back again. Thank you Mark and Hazel for always making our stay memorable.

We recently stayed here for two nights with our two young sons. The place exceeded our expectations. The grounds and home were lovely. The owners were very sweet, and made an excellent breakfast each morning. The farm tour that they give in the morning is about 45 mins, and the kids get a chance to get eggs from the chicken coop, and feed many of the animals.

Room Tip: If you have younger kids, they have a one room with a smaller bunk bed that my 4 year old and 21 mon...

We couldn't have been happier with our stay! My wife and I needed a mini-vacation (we have two children, one age 2 years, the other 7 months), but we still wanted to bring them along for our retreat. Airy Hill Farm is the perfect place to stay with kids! Mark and Hazel treated us like family (our oldest was literally calling her "Grammy" by the second day) and made us feel completely welcome. They even provided a pack-and-play for sleeping and high chairs for eating!

The farm is beautiful, and our kids loved meeting and petting the animals (cat, rabbit, sheep, chickens, miniature horses, and alpacas). For our times indoors, there is a large toy box filled with simple but high quality toys, including a *large* wooden toy barn complete with animals and tractors. Hazel's breakfasts were amazing, particularly her made-from-scratch crumpets.

We're already planning our return.

Room Tip: The Harvest Room is a great pick if you have very young kids and are concerned with disturbing other...

We stayed at the farm 3 days and 2 nights.
Hazel's breakfasts were were really refreshing after the industrial food we ate before our arrival to the farm.
The children opened their morning collecting chicken eggs from the chicken coop and continued with a visit to the other farm animals.
The room we received was warm and cozy and we had a fireflies show at night which we could watch from the living room.
If we get back to the area, sure we visit Hazel and Mark again.

My family and I loved our first visit and now we are coming back with friends. The included breakfast & snacks were amazing! I have never seen so many lightening bugs in one place. The farm is great for kids of all ages!

Airy Hill Farm Bed and Breakfast is a strikingly beautiful retreat. Sheep pastures wrap the hillside house and gardens, which overlook woodland and a stream in one direction and mountains and farm fields in the other. The clean-lined house takes full advantage of the site. A vaulted ceiling and bank of windows in the main living area bring the outdoors in, while decks and porches invite guests back outside.
