“Nice Family Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

When we first arrived the parking lot was clean, large, and well lighted. During check in the clerk was typing at a fury pace and it scared me! I had originally booked a smoking room because theat was all that they had left. They were kind and upgraded us to a suite. It was my 50th birthday and it was really nice for my daughter, because she would not have to hear me snore! The hotel is conveniently located just off the Turnpike(car noise should not bother you), only 8 miles from the town on Manheim and a very easy go minute drive to Hershey Park/Chocolate World! The breakfast was not too bad. The hotel was packed and they had everything stocked very well. I would give this hotel a perfect 5, but there were 2 minor issues, the sash of the shower door frame needed cleaned, it was on the yucky side and there some spots on the wallpaper like someone's make-up exploded. But the highlight was the very, very, very kind front desk staff. I bothered them for change and toothpaste several times and it was always met with the kindness response. Please consider staying at this hotel, because the conditions were very nice even though the place was full.

Bad news: cheap lumpy mattress, cricket in room (turned out to be the fridge actually), breakfast staffer didn't wear gloves or head covering while handling food and utensils, hair in oatmeal (could've been someone else's, to be fair).
Better: decent bedding and towels, quiet room on upper floor as requested, clean, no strange smells, TV with HD signal, the usual breakfast choices while not award winning will satisfy. Good coffee.
Best: Upon checkout and based on our comments we were refunded our money as per their satisfaction guaranty!

Room Tip: Very close to PA Turnpike entrance, 30 mins to Lancaster, close to Hershey/Lebanon and a decent easy...

My family and I stayed here in August and everyone loved the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is in the middle of everything and so close to Hershey Park with makes the location perfect. The breakfast every morning was good and my niece loved the fact that she was able to make her own waffles. The whole hotel was very clean as well as the pool, with kids this is where you will spend most of your time when you return from either the park or other attractions you may go see. We intend to stay here again the next time we plan our Hershey vacation!!

Ideal location for the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire. Rooms were great, staff was helpful and breakfast was wonderful. Loved the fireplace in the lobby. The landscaping was beautiful and well kept. Since we were there in October, everyting was decorated for the fall. As as added feature the family of ducks welcomed us upon our arrival.

Room Tip: Arrive early to get a good parking spot.

Perfect stay. The price was right, the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The location is right across the street from the Pennsylvania Renaissance Festival and the Mt. Hope Winery, making it perfectly convenient. The staff was courteous, friendly, and very interested in making our stay enjoyable. I will definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family.

Room Tip: Our room didn't have a microwave or mini-fridge. I think you might have to ask for them.

I was there for a wedding in late August 2012. I got a king room. Internet was complimentary and reliable. Bed was comfortable, and the room was well-kept by housekeeping staff during my stay. Decor perhaps a bit outdated, but that was a minor issue for me. Lots of TV options. Continental breakfast was pretty standard fare - yogurt, cold cereals, juice, fruit, pastries, and there were a few warm items. Coffee was always hot and fresh. It is a bit busy during breakfast and seating is limited at times. Location is off the turnpike. Only issue was that A/C unit was a bit loud when it was on.

Very Nice Hotel!

Perks:
Located directly across the street from the PA Renaissance Faire. Perfect for the beer/wine drinkers who would like to drink. Even if not, it's a long day at the faire. Park at the hotel and walk over. Easy!

The lobby is very welcoming with a fireplace and seating. The breakfast is good (continental, but more than enough...eggs, bacon, french toast sticks, bagels, fruit, waffles, cereal....more and coffee, juice, etc). There is a nice seating area for eating.

Nice patio in the back in addition to a gazebo and pond off in the back.

We were greated by friendly staff. The morning breakfast hostice Noreen was great. She was sweet to my daughter and gave her stickers to play with (she's 2yrs old). She was cleaning and stocking the area keeping it plentiful.

Our room was very clean. We had a king room with a sleeper sofa. Frig, microwave, coffee maker. Desk for computer, etc.

FREE WIFI! :-) Sligtly slow however.

HBO too :-)

Looks as though they may be dog friendly. (see pics).

Comforters are also washed after each stay which is a definite plus.

Honestly, I don't have anything negative to say. We were really pleased with our stay. We got a great rate. They also have a Renfaire package too.
