Went for the Cheese, Garlic and Summer Mountain Festival. There was an $8 entry fee per person. The event consisted of vendors highlighting their offerings under individual tents. So the day was spent mostly standing in line to sample cheese or wine. Vendors were from a fifty mile area of the event. The cheese samples were miniscule. The wine just barely covered the bottom of the very small cups. In some cases there was not enough to wet your palate to decide if you liked it or not. It didn't matter as they were all overpriced and the quality was mediocre at best. These were small local winerys most of which just came into being in the last few years.
But where was the Garlic! There were two stands selling raw Garlic and that was it. No food stands with different offerings. When I looked into the event it was billed as a day of garlic tasting. Don't know if the vendors did not show up or what, but there was no Garlic to be tasted.
There was a band playing, a small Garlic cook off but no tasting and rides for the children. Guesstimate the crowd to be over 1000 and the vendors to be under 20. Lines were long if you wanted to sample anything. Will not attend this event in the future.
