“Meals are outstanding!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

Very friendly staff - they treat you like family. Meal portions are substantial at a very decent price. We can get an appetizer, 2 entrees, dessert, and an adult beverage or two and our bill will average $40-$45. Try their Crab Corn Bisque....you won't be disappointed!

“WOW:!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013

We came in after a long hike with hungry appetites...OMG did we choose well!!! We were seated immediately & before long were diving into the crab dip appetizer (served with crusty loaf for dipping). The complimentary bread basket was so fresh & yummy we couldn't help but eat it all. The cornbread is melt in your mouth delicious. The main course: Chicken Romano-the absolute best chicken dish I've ever been served. The stuffed pork chops were to-die-for. So tender we didn't need knives. Potato Pancakes! WOW! Portions were nicely generous-we took half home. Waitress was excellent-the staff seemed happy & evoked a pleasant atmosphere. Shared appetizer+ 4 drinks+2 main course + 1 dessert under $ 60. You can't beat that! Excellent!

“Overpriced food and small portions”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012 via mobile

My husband and I decided to try this place out for dinner. Overall it was at most an average place. I am a vegetarian and this place definitely doesn't have any options other than soup and salad. I ordered the tomato basil soup which was amazing and a cesar salad, which was lettuce and croutons. My husband had chicken oscar. It was $16 and was the smallest portion of chicken I've ever seen. He said it was poorly seasoned and bland. The side of mashed potatoes was engulfed with garlic. The waitress took her time getting to our table when it really wasn't that busy. We may try it at lunch time, but probably not dinner anymore.

“A pleasant family meal”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

We frequent this restaurant often with our family. They offer a wide variety of menu items, many of which are quite different from the other restaurants in town. We had the stuffed pork chops which were filled with mashed potatoes and I had a shaved ham sandwich with bacon, cole slaw and french fries...and then a pineapple upside down cake martini...yum! Overall though, most of the food is either fried or just sits real heavy on the stomach..please note the two entrees that I mentioned above. They do have some salads on the menu, hope you like iceberg lettuce. We have always been seated quickly, and this previous visit was on a Friday night. The service has always been friendly. The restaurant itself could use a little updating. It's a bit on the dark side. To get to the bathrooms you have to walk though part of the serving area and past frenzied waitstaff...and lastly, the menu could stand to be updated and with fresher more higher quality food items. Overall..it simply served the purpose.

“Very Good Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2012

A nice restaurant with lots of seating. The staff is friendly and helpful. The menu is extensive. The deserts are to die for. The food is prepared by an excellent "chef." Great Food!
A separate bar area is inviting and the drinks are real good.
The Dutch Haven is a nice place to spend an evening relaxing with dinner and drinks.
Check their schedule before heading their way. They are closed one or two days each week.
