“Absolutely the BEST!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2012

My husband and I stayed at the Tawsty Flower this past weekend and we were absolutely floored by the beauty, elegance and comfort of this B&B. The rooms are beautiful and the bed was more comfortable than the Heavenly Bed by Westin! The bathroom en suite really takes the rooms up to the highest level as well. The property was spotless and very up-to-date. It is centrally located to downtown Lewisburg so you can walk a block to lovely restaurants and shops. I highly recommend it as I know we will be staying there again. The propiertors were also charming and very helpful, but stayed out of the way for you to enjoy the space. Fantastic!

We stayed for one night; Bob and Jane were very welcoming hosts. Because the Inn was not full, they nicely upgraded us to a larger room at no charge as we had stayed there before. The Inn is lovely, the furnishings a very tasteful blend of new pieces and family heirlooms. It is quiet and relaxed with lofty, comfortable beds. The landscaping is maximized with a good diversity of beautiful plants. Though we were headed out early and could not stay for breakfast, we noticed on the way out it was set up and looked yummy.

Location, the host, building and decoration addition to the best coffee I have ever had... This was much beyond my expectations and was very happy to be there. I described it as the fairy hotel to friends...

Room Tip: The Green Room is where we have stayed and its perfect!

My son and I stayed at the Tawsty Flower while in town to visit Bucknell. The location is perfect.... within walking distance of the lovely downtown area as well as the college campus. The innkeepers were extremely attentive, the rooms were tastefully decorated and very clean, the beds were yummy (no saggy mattresses here... plump pillows, soft sheets) and the continental breakfast had just the right mix of easy, healthful and delicious options. This is a gem of a spot and I highly recommend it.

We recently stayed at the Tawsty Flower 2 times during the process of moving our daughter to Bucknell University.

Communication with Bob was always quick and easy to understand.

The night of our first arrival, our flights were delayed and he stayed up until 2AM to greet us and help us to our room. Always pleasant and helpful even in the early hours of the morning. A welcome surprise after a long stressful travel from out of state.

The rooms are all clean and well maintained with very comfortable bedding. Every room is different with different sizes and some with an extra bed.

Breakfast if very good with beautiful fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, and muffins/scones each day. Threre is always hot water for tea and ice water on the table which was a nice touch.

Both Bob and his wife are very informative about the area and can recommend restaurants or things to do if you have some down time.

The location is great with nice parking. You can easily walk downtown for dinner or over to campus to catch up with you kid.

We will definitely try to stay here on our future visits to Lewisburg.

Room Tip: If you are traveling with kids, they do have rooms with more than one bed which was nice. The Blue...

We spent four restful nights at the Tawsty Flower Bed and Breakfast in Lewisburg. On our twelve day vacation, our room at Tawsty Flower B & B had the most comfortable bed of any of the lodging places we visited. The room was very clean. The breakfast was healthy and refreshing. We enjoyed our stay very much. The host was pleasant and accommodating. We would gladly stay there again.

If you like a lot of potpourri and folk art or find impeccably made beds with only high thread count freshly pressed white sheets and covered duvets boring- this might not be your cup of tea. We found the simply and sparsely decorated rooms to be the most appealing we have encountered at a B&B. The blue room (#2) with a double bed worked perfectly for a teenager but would have also accomodated a couple easily- even though it was noted to be on the smaller end of the rooms there. Room #1- "Green" was perfect for us- nice flat screen that tucked up against the wall when not in use. Excellent wireless and a friendly, accommodating host are other benefits to this property. We had to leave quite early so did not experience breakfast but the set up was welcoming in a nicely appointed dining room. We stayed during a college sweep through PA and if Bucknell ends up being the place I will look forward to staying here again. My bet is that it will be hard to get a room based on the value and quality. It's a quick walk to campus, the book store and restaurants.
