“Newly a Days Inn - hopefully things will improve.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2013

Until a couple of months ago this was a Quality Inn that was actually nice 10-12 years ago. Now it is completely run down, filthy and smells bad. I can confirm some of what other reviewers said: there WAS a mouse on the desk in my room the last night of my stay; not only is the toilet squeezed in, it's squeezed in at an angle and is very awkward. If you are unfortunate enough to be near a stairwell you will hear the door slamming day and night; they don't fit the opening and have no padding of any sort to muffle the sound. Don't plan to sleep in if your neighbor is getting an early morning shower, annoyingly loud. The staff was actually quite friendly and helpful when they weren't understaffed. Hopefully things will improve with the new franchise.

pullsnopunches,

Thank you so much for your review. You are quite right our property had some issues. I think you will be happily surprised during your next stay. Our team has been hard at work making changes to the property. We have renovated all of the sleeping rooms added suites and kept all the things people loved about the property.

I can't wait for you to come stay with us and see all of the great changes!

Warmest Regards,

Jalynn Hollis

There was a poor cancellation policy, expensive for the quality and the kitchenette was a microwave. The place was a revamped high school, no laundry, light fixtures that buzzed, and breakfast was a joke. They gave us a hard time because we ran them out of shampoo when we asked for six. The toilet was yellow and the bed was extremely hard and the decor was from 1965, the top sheet had stains and holes, and the doors to the hotel were all unlocked. Take the extra time and go to Hershey, I will not be back. The only good thing about the place was Tasha at the front desk, she was nice and the Italian restaurant across the street.

We had a room on the second floor with 2 double size beds, The room was clean and roomy but the bathroom was small. The toilet was squeezed in between the wall and the sink base. You could not set on the 'throne' comfortably unless you are fairly small ..which most are not! While on the subject of the bathroom,,, the bathmat in the tub to prevent slippage (stuck down - could not remove) while a good idea... it looked like it should have been replaced. I was not real keen on their wall colors but we all have a difference of opinion there. Oh yes it seems the doors in this place all slam! Don't let go of them until they shut all the way as they will slam with a loud bang especially in the stairwells.. The TV was nice with good reception, the bedding was clean, and there are places to eat close by. We were only there the one night so didn't use the other amenities or even look for them. For the price it was okay.

We enjoyed our stay. The employees were helpful in checking us in quickly and letting us know where everything was located. Our room was clean and spacious. The only thing we didn't have was a safe. All other motels/hotels we have stayed at have had one. It's just a reinforced security. Would have also liked a longer or more ramps at the entrance. There was only a small one. Then needed to walk through the drop off area and around parked cars to wheel our suitcase to our car.
