“Fun Murder Mystery Party!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

Friends of ours rented out the Berry Patch last night for a 50th birthday party....a Murder Mystery! We started the afternoon with some wine and cheese and getting into our characters. Conveniently, the current staff were trained in theater and have done murder mysteries before. Randy, the officiator, had even written additional characters for the mystery. We then continued on to one of the suites that was staged as where the "murder" took place and collected evidence. By the time we got back, dinner was served. After Q&A time, it was time to solve the mystery! This party was a lot of fun and I would highly recommend it.

The grounds and Inn are beautiful. Not a place I would take a younger child because there are many, many breakables around. The porch and outside patio were a warm welcome as we enjoyed them often. Everything was very clean and tidy. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Now on to the complaints, although they may seem a little petty or minor. As you see I did give 4 stars because I was more than pleased. When we first arrived, Bunny made a poor impression by throwing a bit of a fit about where we parked our coolers (which were outside per her request). After that, we barely saw her for the rest of the night which was great because the 2 staff taking care of us were so warm and friendly! Our dinner was a delicious chicken with gravy. Really some of the best I've ever had. But it was served with instant mashed potatoes...thumbs down to that.
We stayed in the Alexandria suite. Bed was comfortable but my husband and I are used to sleeping in a very dark room. The room had no shades and was pretty bright.
We parked our car next to a huge pile of fertilizer. Incidentally, that is what they mulched with around the property. But it really didn't smell.

Overall, we had a great experience!

We stayed at Berry Patch (Sadi Maya) for our anniversary. It was a breathtaking site. The room was clean, the sheets were soooo welcoming, and it was very quite. The house was very charming. We were happy with our stay and would recommend this place for any couple who wants to get away from everyday life.

My wife and I stayed at the Berry Patch B&B for Valentine's Day and absolutely loved it. Everyone was very friendly and everything was perfect! There were snacks and drinks (to include Valentine Day cupcakes) in the main dining room, Valentine candies in our room, a snack plate with delicious cheeses and crackers in our fridge, and the breakfast (which included heart shaped fluffy pancakes) was delicious. We have stayed at many B&B's and have never seen such attention to detail. We will stay at the Berry Patch B&B whenever we visit the Hershey area and will be sure to bring a treat next time for their dog Rusty and outdoor kitties. Also, the strawberry preserves and hot BBQ sauce you can purchase from the gift shop are excellent - the BBQ sauce is truly hot.

My husband and I were looking for a quiet weekend away from the kids and we got it. The owner greeted us upon arrival and so did her sweet chocolate lab, Rusty. Our room was lovely and very romantic. Everything was clean and we felt very comfortable. We stayed in the Sadi Maya. The B&B itself is very nice and you can spend hours just peeking in the many curio cabinets at all of Bunny's amazing collectables. She gave us suggestions of things to do in the area and some dinner suggestions. Also, Bunny makes the absolute best tea in the world, I would visit again just for the tea!!! She is a wonderful, good hearted woman who rescues animals that you will meet on the many acres of land outside. It's also important to mention the wonderful breakfast we had-beautiful presentation and so delicious!

Room Tip: Visit the B&B website to choose the room that is best for you.

I saw a couple mixed reviews about this place, and kinda bad mouthing the owner. My husband and I went back in February for my birthday weekend, just stayed one night though, wish we would have stayed longer. Bunny was very friendly, we are a young married couple, but wasn't rude to us, she was very helpful and kind. She even offered things for us to do in the area and places to eat, however we already had pretty much the weekend set up, but thanked her for all the info and told her we have been to Hershey numerous times and knew the area pretty well.

We stayed in the Sadi Maya room, which was simple decoration, it had a fireplace and also a jacuzzi tub, and surprisngly the tub really was able to fit 2 people comfortably. We had wine that night and used wine glasses that Bunny had in the common area and even had a wine openner. There were also delicious chocolate chip cooks avaliable and other snacks if we wanted. Our bed was comfortable and we also had a private entrance into our place so we could come and go as we pleased.

We were pleased with breakfast, Bunny and her husband we such gracious hosts and she even had cute dogs there that were very friendly and of course tried to join us in the dinning area, but Bunny did get them out of there. The other guests we set with were all married couples, so it was nice to have some things in common and some were from the surrounding areas. Coffee was much needed and delicious and breakfast was so good and fulfilling. Bunny bid us a kind farewell. We hated to leave, it was such a nice place and back in the country, but still close to Hershey if u are wanting to go there. We would recommend this b&b because it wasnt expensive, it was a comfortable stay and the owners were gracious.

Room Tip: Some of the rooms have private entrances, the other rooms you get a code to get back into the house...

My wife and I enjoyed staying in the English Meadows room with the king bed. We relaxed in the hot tub, right in our room; this was a nice feature. The breakfast was a solid, home-cooked meal, but I wouldn't say it was to die for. It was very close to Hershey, so I would recommend this B&B.
