My new husband and I had the pleasure of having our wedding at the Ligonier Country Inn last Saturday, June 5th, 2010. The wonderful staff at the Inn accommodated our rehearsal dinner of 30 guests on Friday night, our ceremony and reception of 130 guests on Saturday, and a breakfast brunch for the remaining guests on Sunday. Everyone was extremely helpful and put my mind at ease that every single detail would be taken care of so that my husband and I could enjoy our special day and our entire wedding weekend. Our ceremony and reception at the Carriage House was BEAUTIFUL! It was everything that I had imagined my wedding would be like, and more. We can't wait to return to the Inn for many wedding anniversaries to come!
As far as rooms, my husband stayed in the Kid's Cottage with his groomsmen Friday night and had a great time. My bridesmaids and I stayed in the Shafer House, which was as equally beautiful. The Shafer House provided us with a lot of room to get ready for my wedding on Saturday during the day. On Saturday night, my husband and I spent our wedding night in Shafer House room #2, which was beautiful and complete with a jacuzzi tub and cozy porch attached right to our room. It was such a romantic setting for us to spend our wedding night. On Sunday night, we spent our night in the actual Inn in room #19, and it was absolutely breath-taking. Each room in the Inn is unique and very cozy, and every wedding guest that stayed at the Inn was so impressed by the comfort of the beds and the appearance of each room. They loved it, and we definitely loved it :)
The Ligonier Country Inn is such a cozy and peaceful place. Every single staff member is so friendly and helpful, from the innkeepers Maggie and PJ (THANK YOU SO MUCH GUYS!!), to Natalie the wedding coordinator (YOU ROCK!), Missy, Pat...all the way to the cooks, catering, and cleaning staff that we met during our stay. You will NOT be disappointed in your decision to stay at the Ligonier Country Inn!!!
Our Sincerest Thanks,
Steven and Ashley Fulem
