I stayed at the Sheraton Bucks County for four nights while on a business trip in April. My room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The front desk people were exceptionally friendly and made check in and check out very speedy. The hotel is very conveniently located to food and shopping, and perfect for a family going to Sesame Place, as it's right across the street. The hotel has a restaurant, but I found the menu to be too pricey so never ate there.
While my room was spacious and clean, it was a little outdated. The carpet was worn in a few places, and I could see where the wallpaper was starting to peel. The closet doors were sliding doors, and liked to stick. One came off its track my first morning there, but I alerted the front desk and it was fixed by the time I returned from my meeting.
My room was spacious, containing a king bed along with a sofa that could pull out into a bed. The sofa was nice for relaxing and watching tv after my meetings, but I felt like there should have been a small coffee table or something. There was no where to eat if I brought food back to the room, except at the computer desk, which didn't afford a view of the TV. If you had a family, you would have to eat off your lap or go out. The room didn't come with a mini fridge or microwave, which I've just come to expect from "nice" hotels.
My biggest complaint is the lack of soundproofing. I could hear both people in the hallway and people in the next room, and none of these individuals were being particularly loud. The room across the hall had a very squeaky door and I could hear whenever they came in or went out. Also, the sound of water pulsing through the walls as the people above me showered in the morning was loud enough to wake me up.
Another issue was parking. The hotel has a very small lot near its main doors. There were plenty of spots for regular guests, but whenever the hotel hosted an event in its ballroom, I would have to park behind the hotel in their overflow lot and walk around the entire building to get back to my room. I personally feel there should have been someone directing people for the function to park in the overflow lot and allow paying overnight guests to park in the main lot closer to the main doors.
I just expected more from a Sheraton. If think I may try a different hotel if I had to go back to this area for another meeting.
