“Wonderful hotel and staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2012

My husband and I have been staying at the Bucks County Sheraton for weekend getaways for over 4 years now. The staff there first met us before we got married, saw me pregnant, and now know my son. They know us by name and have never failed to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We love the ammenities and our room is always very cozy. I really can't say enough about the staff though, Yeni is one of the best staff members there. He knows how to do his job really well and has been nothing but helpful and friendly for every stay. There are a couple of others by which I cannot remember their names but it may be Michael and Chris (front desk) and I believe her name is Erica and the manager who keep the lounge on the 14th fl in tact.
To the regional manager, your staff is wonderful and they deserve all the praise and bonuses they can get.
Thanks so much to all the staff there.

My family and friends stayed at the Sheraton Bucks County during another family fun trip to PA. This is the only real choice as it is the best value. Other hotels in the area might charge extra for things like two double beds or a fee if you cancel. We are Sheraton people and Gold members. However, this Sheraton is truly fantastic. They offer free shuttles to the park, all day and night. The Sheraton is the closest hotel to the park. This allowed us to come and go and make "naptime". Our room was not ready for early check in but we got changed in thier fitness center, which almost makes you want to work out it is so nice, (ALMOST). Shortly after, our room was ready, still an hour before normal check-in. The hotel was at 100% for both nights but you would not have known as thier was no lack of service. I reviewed this hotel before and stayed that the staff was the true winner here and I still stand by that. After a hot day in the park, we returned to a hot room. Normally, this would have been a negative, however, we called and within 30 seconds a serive man was at our door. No lie. Kinda freaky. The air unit was frozen and within minutes the room was cold. Lastly, the breaskfast buffet was great with plenty of healthly options like egg whites, greek yogurt, fruit, etc. Plus all the normal goodies like bacon, pancakes..... If you are complaining about the price understand that the Sheraton is really the best value. This is peak season for the park and its' surrounding community. See you in Dec. for Elmo's Furry Fuzzy Who Cares - Whatever- Not Again Christmas Show.

Room Tip: Club level. Food next door includes Boston Market, Primo Subs, SaladWorks, Bakery and a Pizza Joint...

I booked our getaway to Sesame Place via their website and chose to stay at the Sheraton – Bucks Country based on the proximity to the park, free shuttle, and what I presumed to be far better amenities than other more “family friendly” hotels in the area.

Thankfully, Sesame Place exceeded our expectations and we will be back there every chance we get. We will not, however, be lodging at the Sheraton. I was so disappointed by our visit. Hopefully, management will take our evaluation seriously and make some changes.

Rooms were not ready until after 5pm (even though check-in is at 3pm).

Dining - Breakfast and wait staff (especially Maria Moreno) were the best part of our stay. We were thrilled at the selection, quality, temperature, and most importantly taste, of the food. The only hassle was not getting our breakfast passes upon arrival to the hotel, but rather having to go each morning to obtain them.

Elevator – Out of the two public elevators, only one was working the majority of our trip. We had to wait in long lines and stuff into the elevators like sardines for fear of having to wait for the next one. The thought of climbing the 10 flights of stairs did cross our minds a few times.

Shuttle – While a free service, there is only one van that goes back and forth. On multiple occasions, were waiting in lines of 10+ people, especially at peak hours of park opening/closing. The convenience and cost savings goes right out the window when you are forced to wait with anxious and excited children in the morning and exhausted and cranky ones at night.

Reservations - Since we extended our stay, we booked one room directly through Sheraton for Saturday. Thankfully while arranging our taxi to the airport, I did ask about the Sat reservation, which wasn’t in the system. I had confirmation from Wed evening, which we cancelled and changed to Saturday. I called and talked to them, and was told it was all set, and there was no problem. Well, there was a problem. I had to make another reservation on Friday for Saturday, but that required us to change rooms.

Rooms – On Saturday, we moved to a room which was in dire need of updating – the bathroom being the worst. Around the tub drain was rusty so my three year had to stand up and shower. Broken tiles underneath the dripping faucet, and a lampshade so old, cracked and scratched, it looked as if it had never been replaced.

Pool – Having to access the pool by way of the fitness center was acceptable, however, we had to walk across wet, slippery tiles to get to there. One day, we even had to climb over a garden hose by the water cooler.

Just when things couldn’t get any better, I was charged for an additional night. I had to call and speak with accounting to have the charge removed from my credit card.

Dear Nicole,

We appreciate you taking the time to review us on TripAdvisor.com; however, we are deeply distressed that you had the experience that you did. We rely on our guests to fill us in on the things that we can not see from our side. This is how we know what to focus on in the future.

We do take your evaluation of us seriously and each point that you made has been brought up with the appropriate departments. Some of these issues have not been addressed previously so thank you for bringing them to light for us!

Our team would like to fix these issues immediately. If you can contact us here at the property so that we can ascertain the room number you were in that would be great.

We do apologize for your displeasure with your stay and hope that you give us an opportunity to provide you the Sheraton experience that we strive to create. In efforts to regain your confidence in the Sheraton Bucks County Hotel and its staff.

Sincerely,
Sheraton Bucks County Management

If you're visiting Sesame Place, this is a very convenient hotel. If not, be prepared for the noise that comes with hoards of cranked up kids on vacation. It would not be my choice for any business travel. Also, the rooms are a bit tired and the parking area, if the front lot is full, is a very long hike with stairs. The place is very expensive for what you get, but the convenience of the location is great. The staff are pleasant and very acomodating.

Dear Valued Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to evaluate our hotel on TripAdvisor.com.

We do apologize that you did not realize the number of children that would be in the hotel at this time. This is only due to the time of year and Sesame Place, as we’re sure you are aware.

As far as our parking, this is a topic that we have discussed recently at our facility. We have discussed a system that will allow guests to short-term park their car at the front of the hotel in order to unload and load their belongings before parking permanently in the rear of the building. This is an issue that we are making an effort to correct and make this process easier for future guests.

We are delighted that you were so impressed with our location and its’ convenience, however, and we do hope that you will stay with us again possibly in our less hectic season.

Sincerely,
Sheraton Bucks County Management

We stayed here with our 2 children and niece for a Sesame Place getaway. What a convenient hotel!!!! The indoor pool was large and clean, the rooms were a perfect size for my entire family with a King size bed, and pull out sofa. I actually found the beds some of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept on. We ate at the breakfast buffet in the hotel and it was great for kids and adults. I especially loved the egg whites with spinach which you do not typically see at a breakfast buffett. I will definitely be coming back to this hotel on my next trip to Sesame Place.

It is so exciting to hear that you had such an enjoyable stay here with us at the Sheraton Bucks County.

I love that you noticed the difference in our Sweet Sleeper mattress! Thank you also for taking advantage of the special things that we have to offer including our indoor pool, which I know the kids always love, and also our breakfast at our University Grille. We love starting our days off with our Sesame families and we love that you valued getting your kids all fueled up for their busy day ahead with such ease.

Thank you for taking the time to share with the TripAdvisor.com community as well as our staff just how much you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to seeing you on your next Sesame adventure1

Three of us stayed in one room to attend a HS reunion. The room was large and pleasant. The staff people in the hotel never failed to greet us as we passed them. We did not eat in the restaurant but could walk to several fast food places and a bakery. There are lots of stores nearby and quick access to Langhorne Borough. Interstate 95 and Route 1 are very close and not far to the PA Turnpike or to NJ. Sesame Place is right across the street (too busy to walk but there is a shuttle). Lots of kids around but we still slept fine.
Waiting for the elevator was quite long due to the many families with multiple children, strollers, etc. going up and down. The service elevator was broken so the workers had to use the passenger elevators for service carts, etc. We usually walked down and tried to ride up.

Parking was terrible. There were a number of spots in front of the hotel but in three days, I never got one. The rest of the parking was under the building with access by driving around the hotel but signs were quite small so it was hard to know this or to know where to go. Once you parked under the hotel, it was necessary to walk a very very long distance, dragging your luggage. There was a phone near the door with a sign saying you could ask for assistance but if you did not realize the great distances, you probably would not do so. There were also 2 sets of steps so this entrance would not be good for wheelchairs, etc. and not too convenient for luggage either, especially going out (up the stairs)

To Our Valued Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel on TripAdvisor.com. We do value every comment and use them to make things better at our Sheraton for you in the future. I am delighted to know that you found our location to be so convenient.

As for the elevator situation, we have repaired the service elevator so that guests do not have to share with staff and all of the bulky housekeeping carts. This is not typical and I do apologize.

As far as parking, this is a topic that we have discussed recently at our facility. We are considering better signage, possible reflective, to guide guests to the correct parking area. We have also discussed a system that will allow guests to short-term park their car at the front of the hotel in order to unload and load their belongings before parking permanently in the rear of the building. This is an issue that we are making an effort to correct and make this process easier for future guests.

Once again, thank you for sharing your incident with us. It is greatly welcomed and put to good use.

I had a very nice stay at the Sheraton, as a Gold Starwood member, I was upgraded to the Club Level and had access to the lounge. Breakfast was available in the morning as well as evening snacks. The location is great with many decent places to eat and shop very close by. There are more kids than usual for a Sheraton due to being across the street from Sesame Street park but that was not an issue.
