“Low price for low quality”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2012

I only eat at this place because my dad likes it so much. The food is cheaply prepared and not always good. If you do decide to eat here, the best food is the creamed chipped beef and the best bread is the rye. Their baked oatmeal is pretty good as well. I would steer clear of the fruit!!! I have the feeling that a lot of people don't order fruit (mostly older gentlemen who get fatty breakfasts) so it sits there awhile. My fruit was so old it tasted like it was fermenting! It used to be a lot better but I have the feeling that it's gone downhill...

“Lousy Service, Food Terrible”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2012

I use to enjoy the Salunga Diner. Things have changed! I will never go back after my last experience. Waitresses were rude. They were busy talking to each other and not checking to see if we needed anything. We were almost finished with our meal before she came over to refill our coffee mugs, and that was after several attempts at flagging her down. Food was awlful. It tasted like they salted my buttered bread and bacon. My partner thought the grits tasted like they added dish washing liquid to it.
I like supporting the small local dinners but I wouldn’t recommend this one to anyone.

Typical truck stop-style food. Don't waste your time.
