“Disappointed”

Rodeway Inn

I called the hotel to make a reservation & asked about the bad reviews on the internet...I should have listened. The manager was very accommidating - gave me a discount rate for what she described as a suite...ha. According to the manager, the room was newly renovated & assured me of no problems. When I arrived...the front dest area is lovely, but when I got to the room...I was disappointed. The furniture was cheap & looked like it came from a dumpster & they threw a coat of paint on it. The room was clean, but I was not sure of the bedspread
...which gave me the creaps so I requested additional blankets & sheets & it worked out. This hotel would be great if they would invest in decent furniture & linens. Also, the TV viewing selection was less than poor. In the lobby there is a great flat screen TV with perfect reception, but in the rooms - few channels and horrible visability. I inquired about what was the difference between the TV in the lobby & in the rooms when walking thru one day & they said that the rooms only get limited sattelite and the lobby had cable. The staff was nice & made an effort to make sure we got what we needed, but maybe because this hotel is run by foriegners - they just don't get it. The way that the room is set up & what is in the room, they took as many short cuts as possible...even with the breakfast...bare bones minimum. Cheap room price, cheap accomidations, cheap furniture, cheap linens, cheap shampoo, smallest bar of soap I had ever seen, not even enough toilet paper for 2 days...if they would invest a little more in the rooms - all the way around...this might be a nice place to stay. Notice the picture of the outside of the hotel...no cars...there is a reason for that.

“Cannot believe that I actually stayed !!!”

Rodeway Inn

I cannot believe that I actually stayed. Online the pictures looked great. I became concerned when I saw the surrounding neighborhood. Then when we actually got to the room I was totally disappointed. The room was dirty, smelly, moldy and the carpeting was wet. We were put on the backside next to the railroad track and I waited most of the night for some one to sneak in and murder us. This the most disappointed I have EVER been in a Days Inn. The staff looked unkempt and cared less about our needs or wants while there. I don't believe the decor had been updated since the 1950's - which - if actually habitable would have been quaint. It was late when I arrived and I had no alternative but to stay. I got up at 4 am the following day and checked out. NEVER EVER AGAIN!! Don't believe the pictures on the net - if the price appears to good to be true----GUESS WHAT?

“Not the only dirty Days Inn”

Rodeway Inn

Is Days Inn known for dirty un kept hotels? We stayed at the Days Inn near the orlando airport on International drive. The reason we stayed there was we had a 7:30 AM flight home and we had to return the rental car. So we figured it would be better to stay someplace closer to the airport. Than to stay where we were on property at Disney not knowing how rush hour traffic is there. I went on the Orlando Magic website and found the Days Inn there. It was just over night what more do you need but a bed & bathroom It was a reasonable rate, had a an ok rating and the pictures looked good so we booked it.. What a dump!! The rooms were filthy, the garbage cans weren't emptied from the previous 2 or 3 hourly occupants. A huge stain on the carpet that looked like blood. There was mold all over the bathroom and god knows what else. I took the hand sanitizer I always carry and sprayed it on the toilet seat just to be able to use it with some peace of mind. The bedspread was visibly stained with body fluids if you get my drift. On top of that the door looked like someone had kicked it in and it wouldn't lock or close right.

We complained to the manager all he did was give us another room that was some what cleaner. When we got home I complained to Days Inn about the property and they sent us a coupon for 2 nights stay at the same place as if we would do that again. On a recent trip down there we drove past there and it was no longer a Days Inn.

What a DUMP. Mold on walls, non smoking room stunk of ciggarets, carpet filthy, even moldy tub and filty sink and toilet. Demanded my money back and went to another hotelo down the road. We could not stand the smell to sleep even 1 night. Was offered 10% discount on next stay- needless to say I never used it.

just saw in TripAdvisor that the hotel was selected (and rightly so...) as one of 2008's dirtiest hotels, and this reminded me of the horrible experience we had there.

it was, of course, very dirty. the stuff was very rude. the AC and the ice machines didn't work.

to conclude shortly: STAY OUT OF THIS HOTEL!!
