“Best Hotel in Lancaster”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2014

My family and I have been staying at the Continental Inn for quite a few years. It's an absolutely wonderful hotel! We wouldn't even think about staying anywhere else when visiting Dutch Country. Staff members are always kind, helpful, and professional. In fact, many of them feel like extended family members to us.

The hotel itself is perfect for everyone. Whether you are traveling with a significant other or kids, the hotel has every single thing you need for a great vacation. The outdoor and indoor pools, game room, tennis courts, shuffleboard area, and playground area really give you an authentic family style vacation in Amish Country. Plus, the location can't be beat! It's literally right next door to Dutch Wonderland (walking distance). If that wasn't enough, the hotel offers guests a fantastic country breakfast (delicious).

If you are visiting Lancaster in the future, we highly recommend this gem of an inn! It's a wonderful find in the middle of a charming little town. For those looking to shop, the outlets are even just minutes away.

Room Tip: Room near the gazebo (facing the pool)

Bathrooms were dirty, base of the bathtub was black and had someone else's hair in it we had to wear flip flops to get a shower, blankets stunk and were dirty, we had to lay our own blankets down to sleep on and for pillows to. Not worth the 130$. We didn't even stay for the free breakfast we wanted out of there so bad.

We stayed here for a weekend for over 10 years in a row and loved it! My kids still talk about our fun times there. Pay extra to face the pool area. We always eat breakfast there too. The rooms are basic but the grounds are worth the stay. Bring your own pillows and pool toys. The hotel is close by everything. We are going back mid august and can't wait!

Room Tip: Get a pool side room.

This is my 3rd time staying at the continental inn . I live the grounds and location is great . Rooms could use some updating . The front desk staff was horrible . I had questions for front desk 3 times everything they were rude so I can't even say it was one person. How hard could it be to be friendly and answer a simple question??

I have been going to The Continental Inn since I was a child. I loved it and now my children love it. The grounds are beautiful, spacious and well kept. Indoor and outdoor pools, jacuzzi, sauna, shuffle board, ping pong and arcade give them plenty to do. The breakfast is great, especially on buffet days. The location could not be better - right next to Dutch Wonderland. It is located on the main road but it is very quiet in back. The country view rooms are definitely worth the extra money. The rooms are older but clean with fridge. No matter what other vacations we go on, we always fit in a trip to the Continental Inn every year. We would not even think of staying anywhere else.

Room Tip: Country view room is worth the extra money.

My husband and I have stayed in many different hotels and locals in the many trips we make to Amish Country in PA. The Continental Hotel, on Route 30, next door to Dutch Wonderland, was a wonderful experience. The room was clean and had a fridge. There was a pool on site, indoor, and another outdoor one, but we were there in April. There is a sauna room and perhaps best of all a full breakfast included in the price. You ordered off a menu and choices included eggs and bacon or sausage, pancakes, french toast and other items. The ladies in the restaurant were completely helpful and gracious. The room itself was clean and neat. We will definitely stay there again.
