“Great Dinner Show Package”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

My wife and I went to the Dutch Apple Theatre for one of their shows. They offered a package deal, two dinner/show tickets, hotel stay and breakfast buffet for $199. The hotel was fine, the room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful.

Breakfast was the usual buffet. All in all, a great little getaway.

The room was well appointed and the view of the valley was beautiful. The staff was very friendly. Even though the hotel is in the process of updating many of the rooms and facilities there was no disruption to the patrons.

Room Tip: Third floor rooms with a view to the south.

We stayed here for a conference in Lancaster. It is about 15 minutes from downtown. The staff was good, the room comfortable. It included a fridge, which we fine helpful. The on-site restaurant had good food. I'd stay there again

I have stayed here twice. The rooms are clean and nice. They seem pretty new; however, they are currently in the process of updating the rooms now. The staff is FANTASTIC! They are super friendly and accommodating. There is a strip mall with a grocery store within walking distance, the Dutch Apple Dinner Theater is next door, and many of the Lancaster attractions are a short drive away. The restaurant in the hotel (Loxey’s ) is very good for breakfast and dinner. Look at their package deals online, they are an excellent value.

Room Tip: Book a package online, you get free breakfast and depending on which package you choose you can get...

The common areas, especially the hallways leading to the rooms, are awfully scary looking as if not renovated in 20+ years.

But the rooms themselves look to have been redone recently and were clean and fairly comfortable. The linens and towels and pillows could probably use updating, and the mattresses were extremely firm (to the point of almost being uncomfortable, but better than sagging).

Overall the hotel was fine for what it was, except that the loud live music in the bar/restaurant can keep you up at night on weekends.

Room Tip: you want to be on the third floor toward the back to minimize noise from the restaurant/bar and asso...

I have stayed in hotels before but I have to say this hotel was so great that I will be back again
and again. It is clean and inviting and I can't say enough about it. The staff was so nice and
friendly and I put in an order of extra towels and pillows and they were there waiting for me each day. So if you are thinking about Lancaster don't miss out on this stay for your vacation. Close to almost everything you want to see and do.

Room Tip: any room would be great just book in plenty of time before you go

4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

Stayed here early September, 2012 on a Sunday & Monday via Groupon special. Our stay included breakfast daily as well as a $50 voucher to Loxley's restaurant. The hotel is somewhat hidden from the roadway and is adjacent to the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre. All of the common areas of the hotel were very clean. Our room was in the back section of the hotel and looked recently renovated. We had a king sized bed that was very comfortable, although the pillows were very small. There was a newer flat screen TV. The hotel advertises free WiFi, however we were unable to connect.....this is probably because we were in the rear of the property, and this was somewhat of a disappointment. Loxley's restaurant can be entered via the hotel and makes eating here very convenient. The breakfast buffet was so-so, however when an attendant is available you can order an omelette with all the fixings. We had lunch and dinner at Loxley's on both days. Prices were moderate and food OK. One thing did bother me; while we were eating breakfast our waitress was sweeping the floors of the restaurant area and without washing her hands poured our second cup of coffee. The hotel is located conveniently close to all of the attractions in Lancaster Amish country. Except for the minor complaints we did have a good visit.
