I had mixed feelings about my first trip to Willow Valley. My 14-year-old son and I loved the exercise area and pool/sauna (though extremely heavily clorinated). The food was plentiful and service friendly. However, neither of us slept well due to seemingly paper-thin walls and noisy tour buses arriving under our window at 7:00 a.m! The room was also extremely hot, and my attempts to lower the room temperature from the thermostat failed. The beds were a bit lumpy. We probably won't return as overnight guests, but would gladly eat there again.

We have just returned from a recent "pre-Christmas" vacation where we stayed for two nights at Willow Valley. I must say that once again, our whole family had a wonderful and relaxing stay.

We enjoyed the beautiful decorations of the entire complex as well as the well appointed and clean rooms. We stayed on the "Bed and Breakfast" package which was quite economical for our family of two adults and three small children. (kids under 12 stay and eat free)

The indoor "Waterpark" is a hit with kids and is very well supervised by lifeguards even in the middle of the week! There are also 2 indoor pools and 1 outdoor pool (in season) and 2 hot tubs.

We did run into one small problem where our bathtub was draining very slowly, but a call to the front desk had this rectified in short order by an efficient maintenance department.

Our family highly recommends Willow Valley to anyone who is looking for a relaxing getaway in the Lancaster County area.

before it became so commercial. Stayed there from probably 1990 to 2002 and it used to be one of my favorite places to stay. It was and probably still is a great place for for kids however since it became so commercial with a Wedding Chapel and tour buses brought in for lunch my family went elsewhere. The service had declined, the rooms were not as well kept and hotel guests did not get the same attention in as before. Also what used to be a spontaneous weekend away was no longer possible with 2 night minimum stays on the weekend and a 48 hour cancellation policy.I really have fond memories of the the old Willow Valley and still go back to feed the ducks and shop in the bakery but would rather stay away from the crowd. I visit Lancaster to get away from the crowd, not be part of it.

We loved our stay when visiting the Sight and Sound theater, Train Museum with Thomas the train, and Hot Air Balloons in Sept 2004. The pool area for the kids was wonderful for my 1 & 3 yr old boys. The resort is a huge place with great package details that include buffets. There was plenty to do including a farm, make sure you say, "hi" to Rocky the roster for us on your visit :-)
