Dinner at John J Jeffries was outstanding. We entered the restaurant through the very busy bar which seems to be the local up-scale hangout. We were lead to a small private dinning room with about six tables. Our waiter was very personable and knowledgeable about the food which is locally grown, made or hunted.
We had the Artisan cheese plate. The cheese was fresh and melted in our mouths. For our entrees we had the Vegetarian Dosas, it was full of flavor. The Skuna Bay Salmon, fresh and firm. I had the nights special, Red Deer. I had never eaten deer before and I must say it is mild, tender and very flavorful.
I would return to this restaurant over and over.
