“Service OK”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2012

Had a decent dinner with a friend. Server less than enthusiastic and mediocre service overall. Food OK but not overly impressed. I had the tips - ok wouldn't order it again. I remember Molly's for their great burgers...that's what i'll order next time if we return.

“a regular stop of ours”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2012

there is a tiny deck upstairs for nice weather, mostly a small joint with a few tables. Consistenly good food.Good bartender. I like the seating and the bar better on the second floor. You do have to go to the basement for the rest rooms though. NOT handicapped friendly with all the old steps....esp to get to a restroom.

“Nice neighborhood atmosphere.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2012

Had dinner at Molly's. Good chili, very little spice and meaty. Fish and chips was really good. My wife had the Molly Cristo. Basically a turkey club on a french toast type bread. She said it was really good, that is significant since my wife is picky.
Our server seemed a bit slow but was helpful. Nice room upstairs was a little quieter and charming.

“"Cheers" kind of place”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2012

Went with my husband for dinner on a rainy Sunday night. Light crowd, but there were regulars at the bar. Service was great. Menu was slightly different because of Irish fare offered (Irish stew, shepherd's pie), and it all sounded pretty innocuous. The on-tap beer selection was great! Smithwick's and Harp on tap can't be beat. Had the shrimp scampi and it was perfect! Great flavor, lots of good-sized shrimp and the pasta was done al dente. My husband got the crab cakes which were accompanied by rice and asparagus. The crab cakes were a little light on the crab and heavy on the seasoning. I thought the taste was fine, but could have stood more crab. The asparagus was perfect! Lots of it, steamed to exactly the right crunch. The rice was plain Uncle Ben's - no flavoring or spices. Reminded me of feeding the grandkids when they were 3 or 4. The best part of the pub is the nice, quiet atmosphere. It could be because it was a very slow evening, but my husband and I could actually talk to each other without raising our voices. The bathrooms are downstairs, so be aware it is not handicapped-friendly. The ladies' could also use a makeover. Functional, but old and cramped. All in all, a pleasant place with average atmosphere, menu and prices. Give it a go if you've never been in.

“Nice Irish Pub”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2012

Nice atmosphere, good pub. Try the Irish Stew, especially on a cold day.
