“Great place for drinks and snacks”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Pour is one of the nicest places to go for drinks. It is casual but has upscale food and drinks. This is not the place to go if you are looking for a full meal since portions are small. The experience is more of a wine bar. I highly recommend sitting outside if possible but make a reservation because it fills up fast. Get ready to enjoy tasting multiple wines and beers. And absolute try the duck fat fries! The name doesn't sound good but they are incredible!

“good flavor but itsy, bitsy portions”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

this is a really cute restaurant and we were looking forward to our visit. the food was mostly excellent. however, we got all four of the cheeses and all four of the charcuterie. the lancaster county soft cheese was fabulous but the $4 tasting was less than one cubic inch in size. the manchego was literally one slice, less than 1/4 inch thick although they did break it into two pieces. the same for the other two cheeses. the charcuterie was a little larger. my clam pasta dish was absolutely delicious but only the same size as a normal appetizer, with exactly five clams, which was fine with me since i am a light eater. everyone else ordered the bass, the portions appeared to be about 2 oz and they all left still hungry. the deserts were okay, depending on how you feel about bacon ice cream. the chocolate was very rich, but the berry bread pudding was more like stale berry bread. the wine and beer list was extensive and excellent, but with all that alcohol, i want something to eat. i don't think i will go back.

“Less then stellar”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

We recently dined at Pour with another couple. We decided to do this on a weeknight as we have that flexibility and the weekends are insane to dine in Lancaster as there are not enough great restaurants for people to enjoy without a LONG wait. Also Lancaster City was trying out Restaurant Week for the first time. There were four items on the prefix menu and four of us so we ordered all that was available to try. We enjoyed the appetizers. All the dinner items were very tasty with the exception of the extremely overcooked elk. We also enjoyed some very tasty unique desserts. We had a wonderful, friendly waitress but we waited a very long time for our meals. I think that was a kitchen problem as she was very prompt with all that she could get us - drinks, etc.. The bar was busy throughout the night. Although we enjoyed our food there was nothing making me feel like I can't wait to get back there. In fact both my husband and I agreed most likely we won't return. Decent experience but nothing earth shattering for us.

“High expectations”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

It was with confidence that we recommended Pour to one of our friends for a birthday gathering. It all started out great, nice wine, Duck fat fries, wonderful Charcuterie, with the Salmon mousse being a standout. It went down hill from there. We all ordered meals and when they came all but mine were room temperature. The proteins were room temp the sauces were cold. Three out of five meals went back to the kitchen. One of our party elected to reorder at that point hoping for a better outcome. When the new meals were delivered, the rib eye was tough and hard to cut, but at least hot, The Seabass however was raw in the middle. Needless to say all three went back too.

My husband and I met friends there six weeks ago and it was amazing, I don't know what happened, kitchen staff changed or something, but it was a disaster all the way around. On a positive note the managers, and waitstaff were awesome trying to fix a bad situation. They were more than generous in trying to compensate for the bad food by providing another bottle of wine as well as a round of desserts.

“A true tappas and nice, fun atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

This is a place with a tasting menu, so you have to come knowing that the portions are going to be very small but exquisitely prepared. The artwork upstairs and downstairs is also wonderful to view.
