First they messed up the room reservation. Ordered 2 rooms each with 2 double beds and they gave me 2 rooms each with 1 king bed. Quickly and kindly fixed however.
Chocolate chip cookies for all a positive, but giving them to you warm when you are coming in with all your bags is not the best methond. Would be better if they gave you coupons to redeem whenever you want, or even better just let you ask for cookies whenever you want. Ended up not enjoying them.
Diamond member water and Hershey bar was appreciated, as was the nightly chocolate medallions as part of turn down service.
Samsung TV, but while HD, not all the channels were HD and some HD channels did not appear as good as expected. No guide as to which channels were HD and which were not.
Internet was wireless, worked well.
Trash cans odd – small, unlined trash can divided into two partitions; one for recycling and one not. With an unlined trash can, not particularly sanitary for used tissues much less what other guests might need to put in there (diapers, etc…).
Hilton membership gives you 1 continental breakfast free for each night. This means a discount on a hot breakfast but not free. Also it is only for one person per room, others in the room get no discount. Clearly becomes more expensive for breakfast than Hilton Garden Inn or Embassy Suites or even Hampton Inns where everyone in the room gets a free hot breakfast.
Breakfast and dinner were good, though somewhat expensive, with breakfast around $10-$12 per person and dinner $15- $25 per person.
Catered event at the hotel was extremely good, probably the best I have ever had for a catered buffet dinner.
Nice rooms, shower works well, nice common areas.
Toilet about 3 feet from door, to give you a sense of bathroom size. Bathroom door smartly opens out instead of into the bathroom, giving the sense of more room in the bathroom. Also there is an additional counter outside the bathroom which is helpful for coffee, etc…
Temperature controls work well, but when the heater automatically turns on and off throughout the night it does so fairly loudly.
Refrigerators in all rooms, but surprisingly for hotel rooms at this price: no microwave in room.
Staff at front desk, in the hallways, and in the restaurant were competent, personable, and welcoming.
Conclusion: Overall a nice hotel and I would stay here again, though could be better. From my perspective, depending upon your specific needed amenities, cost, and location, consider Best Western Eden Resort, Fulton Steamboat or this hotel and choose what suites you best.
Ask for a room facing outside rather than the Palm Court as events (weddings, proms, etc...) sometim...

Thank you for staying with us and sharing your detailed experience with the TripAdvisor community. As a Diamond member, you are clearly a well traveled Hilton guest and will understand when I tell you many of the things you mention in you review are Hilton standards, including the cookie at check in, trashcan size and complimentary breakfast. That being said, we always welcome the opportunity to make improvements. Our property recently got HD and immediately placed channel guides in the guest rooms once the installation was complete. It reads to me like you may have been with us over the weekend it was being installed and perhaps that is why the channel guides were not updated yet.

Also, please note that if your hands are full at check in, simply decline the cookie. You are ALWAYS welcome to come back to the desk, without a coupon, whenever it's convenient for you, and get a warm cookie!
