Quips Pub is a nice little English-style pub that serves some unique beers and some interesting dishes. They've got sixteen or so taps, a good bottle selection, and a full collection of liquors. The menu is full of British and British-themed dishes. Some of them are great - the fish and chips and the Shepherd's Pie are the best you'll get in Lancaster county. Some of them are a bit off the mark though, and some of the non-fried fish dishes haven't been cooked properly when I've gotten them. The chef's specials are generally interesting and worth paying attention to.
Service has always been top notch, and the staff and other customers are quite friendly. Chat with the regulars, its a good bunch of people. This helps lend to a genial, non-aggressive atmosphere for the late-night crowd, much more relaxed than a lot of other city bars. Overall, drinks and food are decently priced, maybe a little high for the area, but not awfully so.
