“Multiple issues: unable to shower due to horrendous mold on...”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 days ago NEW

Multiple issues: unable to shower due to horrendous mold on entire shower head; unable to sleep due to night club noise & shouting; no phones worked in one room; given room where a couple was already present; smoking immediately outside of front door, so unable to avoid & had asthma attack; fridge not clean & still had someone's leftover food; rugs not vacuumed. All reported and nothing was done.

I am sorry that your stay was not enjoyable. I have notified the proper department heads concerning the issues with your room as well as the noise from the lounge. Our hotel is under going renovations and we would hope that you would stay with us once all renovations are complete.

The only positive thing I can say about this hotel is it had big rooms. The beds were confortable. There were too many little things that needed maintinence . The ice machine on our floor did not work, the toilet ran all night, would not catch, the light in the door area did not work, The lift for handicap did not work, I had elderly ladies that we had to tote luggage
.The people were not friendly at all, they all seemed to have such an attitude.
I can overlook things, do not complain about hotels as long as they are clean but the staff was not very friendly or helpful at all. If you complained, they just said, ok we will tell someone or it is not working and did not seem to want to try to fix. I have never had this kind of experience with a hotel. Maybe in time they will get the repairs done and it would be fine to stay in again but right now, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
We found a sock left under the bed from someone else so the room was not cleaned very well.

Very very very out dated hotel, booked a room for four adults 3 bath size towels in the room phones did not work. I used my cell to call the main number after 6 ring I was disconnected, I went down to the front desk and was told maintenance would come to fix the phone and towels would be sent up, the next morning still no towels and no working phone. Went back down to the front desk for towels and shampoo they did not have any, the music in the bar was extremely loud in till 2 am, could also hear load conversation on the downstairs patio outside of the bar in till 2 am, I would sleep in my car before I would stay at this hotel or any other location since pictures may vary,

My family and I decided to plan a last minute trip to Lancaster for Saturday night. This was one of the only hotels available, and now it is blatantly clear why they had vacancies. Check in time is at 4 PM, which seems unusually late for most hotels. We arrived close to 3 PM and decided we would try to check in, but we were told to come back in an hour. We did, and when we got back at 4 (the traditional check-in time for this hotel) we were told we still needed to wait another 40 minutes. Okay we thought... Came back 40 minutes later and the room was still not ready. This should have been our first indication of the kind of experience we would have at the Ramada. Another half hour went by and still no room ready. We had to leave because we had dinner reservations. We could not even get changed for our fancy dinner because the hotel kept putting us off. We came back around 7:30 PM and finally, they had our room ready for us.

Anyway, after arriving to our room, we were disappointed in the lack of modern day furnishings and decor. The reviews are correct. I know they are in the process of remolding, but this seemed excessive: Old box tv with poor reception and no working remote, three phones that did not work, no alarm clock, beds that were uncomfortable, no lighting (our bathroom light did not work), the bathtub took up to 20 minutes to drain after one of us took a shower. Not to mention the apparent mold on the shower head and the dilapidated rug and wallpaper. But, alas, we tried to make the best of it. The game room was lackluster. The indoor pool had no towels (even though they were supposed to be provided) and all the front desk workers had to say was that "they were too busy" to make sure they had clean towels. Once again, leaving us disappointed.

The worst part of all (yes, it gets worse) is that we were kept up by the grand opening of the new club, JR's, in this "family-oriented" hotel. Club music was bumping and thumping until after 2 AM. Loud, obnoxious patrons cursing and fighting outside on the patio facing what would be a scenic view of a pond caused a severe lack of sleep. When we finally could not take anymore at 1:30 AM we called (from our cell phone since the hotel had no working phones) and the front desk clerk, Paul, readily let us know that "they just called for last call, so the noise would not be going on much longer". To our chagrin, we had to endure at least another hour of waiting until the noise subsided and we could finally get some much needed sleep. We were up early to check out as soon as we could. There were other patrons complaining of the noise as well during checkout. The girl working at the front desk, Brittney, was very nice and agreed that she thinks this new club is bad for business. She really sympathized and seemed to be the only staff member during our stay that really put the customer first. Also, the Wifi does not work.

Basically do yourself a favor and do not stay here. You will be highly disappointed.

Room Tip: Don't stay here

The elevator was broken. The king size bed that we had reserved was only available on floors that would have taken flights of stairs. My partner is not able to stairs very easily.
The desk attendant did everything in his power to accommodate us. The only room that he could find for us was 2 double beds down a flight of steps.
The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast set up was not user friendly for us, thus we let and went out to breakfast.
