I've been staying at this hotel for business reasons over the past five years and I've seen it slide downward slightly. The staff has always been friendly and welcoming. Check in and check outs are always quick and easy. The breakfast area is large enough to accommodate large groups at one time, which happens with tour groups during the summer months. There is a good offering of the usual hotel breakfast fare; waffles, cereal, danish, fresh fruit, juices and coffee. During my last few stays the danish have been a bit stale. They used to have a full restaurant with an entrance off the lobby but it has been closed fora few years now.

The stucco-style of the rooms helps cover the patching and spackle spots on the walls. The carpets need a cleaning and the furnishings have seen better days. The beds are always neatly made and the towels are well maintained.

If you only need a place to stay for one night this hotel is perfect and close to the major routes that go through this area.

The best way for me to review my stay is to mention the pluses and minuses I experienced since that way the individual traveler can consider which items are important in their consideration of this peoperty in planning their own vacation stay. Many of the shortcomings I experienced were more age (60)/Smoker/Pet Owner related which may not affect another person/family.

Attention to Concerns (Had non-efficiency and refrigerator was iced over - maintenance staff replaced the unit quickly)

Minuses:
No smoking/pet friendly rooms
No pet friendly rooms on 1st Floor *
Previous water damage caused popcorn ceiling "balls" to fall on clothing in part of closet area.
No elevators*

* - These two items combined made the move into/out of room cumbersome and time consuming.
