“Great Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2013

While staying on the Fulton Steamboat, Huckleberry's was very convenient with friendly staff. The food was delicious but could be spendy if the customer discount does not apply.

“Sorry, but it was a terrible disappointment”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013

We were so looking forward to eating at Huckleberry's due to all of the great reviews and decided to eat in the Tavern. Well, don't know if that was part of the problem or not, but after placing our orders we sat there for the longest time and when our meals finally arrived they were just "dumped", as it were, in front of us! There was no bread or rolls to go along with it or given beforehand. My cousin ordered the pot roast which everyone raved about but it was so salty that I doubt the pigs could even enjoy it! And I ordered a baked chicken dish that was supposed to have julianned ham and a parmisan crust, and instead it had a very thin slice of ham lunchmeat and unflavored and uncooked panco type breadcrumbs on top! Mine also came with french fries which you could tell was cooked in very old oil past due for a change, and both of our dishes came with green beans that were undercooked and hard as brickbats. The only good part was the nice waiter who not only waited on the tables, brought the food, and took your money, but was also the bartender as well! So sorry everyone but I'd rather put my $12 towards a much better meal elsewhere.

“more than good food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

Be sure to make a reservation. Especially on a Friday or Saturday evening because of the popular entertainment during dinner. Be sure to explore the beautiful grounds before the meal during daylight.

“Dinner was good; Breakfast was not worth the money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2013

We ordered the crab cake, chicken pot pie and pot roast: they were all good.

Breakfast was expensive but not tasty. The scramble eggs was bland and the bacon tasted more like turkey bacon. We were charged $10 for coffee because the server decided to bring us a pot of it. It's the same coffee that you get, complimentary, by the Fulton Steamboat Inn, right outside of the restaurant. Not cool!

“Great atmosphere and great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2013

An excellent restaurant located in the unique Fulton Steamboat Inn. The hotel is built to resemble a paddlewheel steamboat and the restaurant takes the form of the ship’s main dining room.

The restaurant has a subdued nautical theme with an atmosphere of quiet sophistication in keeping with the steamboat dining room theme.

We visited on a Friday evening and Bill Horn was working his magic at the piano. His repertoire of music and songs makes for a very relaxed and enjoyable evening.

At the suggestion of our waiter we had the Lancaster County pot roast with mashed potatoes and the grilled boneless pork chops with tomato chutney. The pot roast was delicious, cooked for hours like you would make at home with a very flavorful sauce/gravy. The pork chops were grilled perfectly and both entrees were served with fresh vegetables that were prepared perfectly. The entrees arrived with a small orchid on the plate, which was a perfect finish for the presentation.

Our waiter was very courteous and attentive without being intrusive and staged the courses nicely so that we did not feel rushed or ignored. The salads were served properly chilled and the main course arrived hot.

The menu is varied and offers something for most everyone, from pasta, to chicken, to sea food and broiler specialties as well as soups and appetizers. The well prepared selections and generous portions provide value and make this a great restaurant for anytime you are in the Lancaster area.
