My teenage daughter and I stayed at this hotel during the holidays and it was a perfect stay. The hotel lobby provides an old-style but updated entry, large and open, service was first-rate from everyone we encountered. The room itself was quite nice, larger than typical but otherwise what you would expect from upper tier newer Marriott. We even had a decent view. The location is ideal if you are interested in walking around Lancaster, with the market nearby and seemingly all of the downtown restaurants within walking distance. We did not eat at the hotel but the bar was packed when we came back from dinner. Parking is probably higher than you would expect but in a quick check at downtown garages it seemed to be the going rate. All in all, hard to see why you would stay anywhere else in Lancaster (we got a good price too).

We were looking for a quick get away from NYC between Christmas and New Year's Eve. Since it was the holidays, the lobby was incredibly decorated. We checked in later in the evening to a nice clean, typical Marriott room. We ate dinner in the lobby bar - the food was delicious!
We were looking forward to using the spa, but the timing was not right and it seemed as if there were only two single rooms off the locker rooms that was considered the "Spa". The pool was awesome! It was quite empty when we took the children swimming on a snowy day.
We did enjoy the buffet breakfast one morning, but if you are used to a Marriott buffet, you might be slightly disappointed since the buffet is quite small.
Parking is quite expensive $16 a day to self park & an additional $12 for valet service. We chose to self park.
I would seriously suggest that you find time to visit The Lancaster Central Market across the street. Not only is it the oldest farmers market, the coffee at Mean Cup is incredible. We ate breakfast there twice. We also had a refrigerator in our room so we were able to purchase delicious food and drinks to bring home!
Word of warning - do not bring large denomination money to the hotel - they have limited change. We made the error of bringing a few $100 dollar bills. The check in person made an error with one of those marking pens and we were really quite embarrassed that they thought the bills were fake (I kid you not!). She apologized but it started the vacation a little tainted. The next day we ran to the bank to change them to smaller denomination bills.

Top-notch hotel. Helpful staff, great spaces, large rooms, comfy beds - terrific bar and restaurant downstairs. Location is perfect; close to shopping and restaurants. Highly recommend this hotel for business or leisure.

Pros - Great location. Comfortable beds and bedding, large well appointed room, flat screen TV. Plenty of outlets to charge just about anything you bring. Clean, Quiet, great view of the city, Ben -one of the valets was awesome! The lobby was beautiful and festive. We ate at the restaurant for breakfast and everyone was accomodating. Pool area was clean but be careful on the wet tiles. The person at the front desk has excellent customer service skills-she is from Oreland, Pa (was very engaged when she checked us in). Room Service was delicious, prompt and hot.
What impressed me the most was that milk and warm cookies were delivered to our room a little bit later after we arrived.

Cons - Bathroom has a vent where you are able to hear voices from the other bathroom being used in another room (quite clearly). Parking was expensive.


Excellent all the way around and will def. be back.
