Sad to say our location was on the edge of Route 30. Ok that was a slight exaggeration we were a good 20 feet from the 9 lane high speed highway. (Picture attached, notice the noise wall across the highway but not on the hotel side) The noise in the parking lot made it almost impossible to communicate (as noted in other posts). Going into the room cut the noise considerably but it remained constant and very noticeable. To be fair they did make an effort with additional panes of glass attached to the sliding glass doors and some of the windows. We had no problems with headlights shining in but the noise certainly put a damper on the visit. After the first night we asked to be moved to another room but were told that since we were traveling with a pet all other rooms were full. Our dog barked at the noise and we did the best we could to keep her quiet but to be honest I doubt anyone else in the building could hear the barking over the traffic. We were in a club suite which was in a separate building from the main hotel. Each building had what appeared to be 4-8 units. Our room was in the building closest to the highway. The room 553 on the 2nd floor was very nice. When you opened the door from the parking lot it led directly to a narrow staircase. The staircase was part of the room with no additional door at the top. Full size kitchen, nice sitting area with a gas fireplace and flat panel tv. One downside on the TV was no high def channels; everything was stretched to fit the screen. Bathroom was on the small size but certainly functional. Bed was comfortable. Overall room was clean and odor free with the only ption being a charcoal type smell at the bottom of the stairs. We stayed 3 nights but will not return.
