“Rooms not always ready at checkin time”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2013

Room was not ready on time. Then we were given a different room which was not the same type that we had reserved. Then we were given a third room that was still be cleaned and checked by housekeeping. However, the management gave us $25 off of the room rate.

This is a classy, well run hotel. My one regret is that we didn't ask if there is a no-kids zone in the hotel. We had to call the front desk several times about noisy families. The restaurants are excellent and pricey--but worth it. Garfield's is more affordable. The grilled Rueben is excellent. Alfred's Terrace is 5 star all the way. Free coffee there in the morning, but they don't tell you that at check-in. Room had microwave, fridge, and coffeepot, so we saved $ by packing in our poolside snacks and drinks. The pool, hot tub, and sauna are great.

Room Tip: For a quiet space, get a spot away from both the pool and off the first floor. There is lots of noi...

When traveling in or near Lancaster, PA. a stop at the Eden Resort is a must. See Sue at the Front Desk and she will guide you to a great experience. For dining and entertainment specials ask for Brian in Garfield's within the facility.

This hotel is an excellent hotel. The big dining areas where you can eat is so nice. Your hotel room is clean the people are very friendly. This hotel is a five-star hotel, but the best part about it is that it takes small dogs. I always travel with my dog and those are the hotel's I look for. I stayed in the suite and they are pretty big they give you three big beds and a sitting area and the room was excellent. So I definitely recommend the suite..

Room Tip: I definitely recommend the suite..

We have stayed at this hotel on multiple occasions. The pool and restaurant are very nice and the rooms are well decorated. Not all beds appear to be of the same comfort level though. We stayed in a more expensive room this time (first floor pool side), but got beds that were hard as rocks... none of us got a good night of sleep. I believe that part of the hotel is newer than the part we stayed in this time. I believe that the time we stayed in the wing farthest from the pool we had nice pillow top mattresses. The restaurant is nice but is way overpriced. They do not have a free continental breakfast here. Overall, this is a really nice hotel if you have children and plan to spend time at the pool. The lifeguards are always very attentive and make sure that no kids under the age of 16 get into the hot tub (good for me, too bad for kids).

Three of us went to the Thanksgiving buffet at the Eden Resort. The setting was beautiful, a waterfall, piano player and crystal chandeliers. Seating was in the middle, surrounded by tables of delicious food. Each station, fruit, salad, bread, turkey, carving station, omelet station , pasta station and dessert station were displayed in a wonderful enticing way. I can't even begin to say how delicious the food was, everything was first class. I couldn't even make turkey that tender, the prime rib was fabulous. Everything was the correct temperature and just wonderful. Although at first blush the price seemed high for a buffet type dinner, it was a great value. Three glasses of champagne for each of us were included with our dinners, which was a pleasant surprise to us first timers. The staff though working on a holiday were attentive and super friendly. What a wonderful experience. We are locals and now have a new holiday tradition. Thank you to our server Dee and the great staff for making the Pilgrim's thanksgiving holiday so special.

Room – very nice. It seems many of the inside rooms (with no windows) overlook the indoor pool which was nice. They had the option of requesting special pillows that purportedly help if you have allergies or a headache, etc.

There is a very nice outdoor pool which naturally was closed in mid-October. The playground and basketball court were open. The indoor pool and jacuzzi were nice as well if that is something you enjoy.

The location was convenient and within close driving distance of the popular tourist attractions nearby.

There was 24/7 free coffee/tea in the dining room right off the dining room.

The BEST PART was the Sunday brunch they have. It is amazing and has all sorts of dishes – breakfast, soup, salad, dinner, dessert, many dishes made to order, etc. Easily one of the best restaurants I have ever been to - you can check the reviews for this separately.

We also had the breakfast buffet and dinner at one of their restaurants which were both very good and convenient.
