Went on Honeymoon in Dec. 03. We really wanted to go up North (we are from Texas) and see snow (my wife had never seen snow).

Anyway we didn't see any snow that week (Not Cove Haven's fault obviously). But the place is super hokey.

We were honeymooners and the first thing that the honeymoon concierge asked us was, "Are you good with a glue gun?? You know, for crafts. We make these little Cove Haven snow bunnies." Uh...give me a break.

Cons: rooms were cheesy. Activities were retarded and when we first got there our room smelled like cigarette smoke. The entertainment was often lewd. For New Years Eve they had a good band playing...but 7 minutes into it, they stopped the band so that they good bring this guy out dressed like a woman. Hee Haw...sooo funny, let me tell you, I've never seen that before. Anyway, the party stopped for like 30 minutes so people could take pictures with this guy. I thought I was in the twilight zone.

Pros: The food was pretty good.

Conclusion: We will never return, so I guess we'll never be "Forever Lovers" and get the "Forever Lovers" pen...OH THE SHAME!

my husband and i spent our honeymoon at cove haven and wanted to go back last sept. we chose a less exspensive room the second time. I feel the resort is worth every penny, from the rooms, the food , staffing, activities, and the nite life. we are in our twenities and enjoyed all of it. and dont be afraid to get picked to play the games it is a blast, just remeber you dont really know anyone there and probably will never see them again, so have fun. we plan to return but to a different resort and see what it has to offer, and to become forever lovers. to touch on a few points, the rooms we stayed in so far (garden of eden apple and the harbour towers), both are breath taking. the apple has no windows for privacy and your own pool, so when your on your honeymoon well we didnt leave the room for a day or 2. and everyone is in a good mood along with the staff, because when you are on vacation the last thing you need is a staff member who doesnt want to be there. i wasnt crazy about eating dinner with other couples but we did meet some nice people. and no matter the weather you can find something to do, but a 2-3 day stay is ideal. we always get a few pictures to with the photographer and enjoy showing them to friends and from our last stay i made a basketball shot from half court and won a free nite, but we planned to return free nite or not. it really is the land of love!!!

My husband and I went to Cove Haven for two nights, March 10-11,2005. We stayed in the Garden of Eden Apple and our room was immaculate!! The in room pool is the perfect temperature and the fireplace gives the place a cozy glow. Be sure to bring your own Duraflame logs and candles for your room as they are expensive to buy in the gift shop. The food was excellent and above average for an all inclusive. You can have breakfast delivered to your room for no charge and then go and eat another breakfast later if you want!! We ordered coffee and muffins at 8:00 because we are early risers and then went to breakfast at 10:30 so we wouldn't need to buy lunch later. Just write in what you want on the breakfast order form if it isn't listed. The staff and employees couldn't have been nicer and we had a great time with the all the other couples we met!! The activities were fun and there is always something to do. My only warning is to be prepared for the surroundings. It looked like some kind of compound the way that the buildings are set up. The Juliette's are all in a line like motel rooms and the Garden of Eden's are in large round buildings with no windows!! Once you get in your room, you forget all of this, but I was still surprised that there were no pictures on the website of the outside of the buildings. Many couples told us that Cove Haven was their favorite because of the variety of activities. We certainly loved it and would like to try it in another season.

I have been to Cove Haven about 6 times now. Started coming in 1976, and started coming back again in 1999. I have stayed in most of the rooms at one time or other. I enjoy going there for the peace and quiet with my guy. We enjoy the food, entertainment, facilities and the romance. I was last there in Jan of 05 and we are going again this April 05. I hated to leave. The snow was beautiful with the fireplace going and the deer would walk up to you in the snow. Staff has always been friendly and helpful. A place is only what you make of it. And we always make the most of Cove Haven every year.

Just returned from a fun and exciting weekend at Cove Haven. The resort is on the "older" side but the 15mil they are spending in renovations is very apparent. The room (Cove Harbor) was delightful. The "starlights" above the bed are a nice touch. Bathroom is HUGE and the hot tub...well.....one of the best I have every enjoyed.

The staff is excellent. Very helpful, accomodating, pleasant and always available.

Food is plentiful. Not 5 star gourmet but very good. Drinks are slightly overpriced but it is a resort. We brought our own for the room.

Entertainment was a blast. Donald is excellent at the X-rated Horse Racing. Alot of fun was had by all. Racquel (social director) is still learning but made the weekend by remembering all in our party and acknowledging us whenever she saw us. Scott (the magician) is superb.

We are looking forward to returning to Cove Haven over the summer to enjoy to outdoor activities (way tooooooo cold this weekend!!!). The lake is beautiful! Can't wait to become "Forever Lovers"!
