I had read about the massive geese migration in the paper and debated as to whether to drive the distance or not because the warden said most of them had left. It was a beautiful day, we went and the sight was amazing! Six thousand snow geese remained. Can you image if you saw the whole show. The area in which they were congregating looked like a of field of snow. Solid white. At one point they took off and the noise they created sounded like a jet plane. They took flight, made a U turn and landed in the same spot. It was well worth the drive, plus if you have time, it is a good opportunity to drive through Amish country.
