“birthday dinner with family”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

had a very good dinner ranging from steaks and veal chops. sides are ala carte but the sizes were meager, especially for the price. for such a high end restaurant, the steaks were very good but not memorable. wish they had draft beer. wish they had prime rib instead of a prime ribeye steak. for dessert, some needed to be ordered with dinner because of prep time, but were served way before the others. for an elite restaurant, i feel there are comparable ones [flemings] with a bit more to offer

“A consistently great place to dine.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

I have dined here dozens of times. The staff is always friendly and enthusiastic, and remember you from meal to meal. The tomato and onion salad with vinaigrette and blue cheese crumbles is always served fresh with generous amounts of crumbles. The tuna tartar tower is an excellent starter. The fillet is the best...I have it rare, and it is tender and flavorful. The baked potato is huge (probably want to share this) and cooked to perfection. Also try the sautéed spinach, it is excellent. For dessert, they have soufflé in many favors, and other beautiful selections. I find the Hagan Daaz ice cream ( alone or in a shareable sized sundae) to be the most satisfying. Be sure to let them know in advance if your meal is a special occasion as they will preprint personalized menus, take pictures, etc. to make your night special.

“Very good experience - will go again”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

Had a very enjoyable meal over the Memorial Day Weekend. The server was very knowledgable and friendly and attentative. Probably the best chopped salad we've ever had. Lots of choices for sides, which were generous sized. I had crabcakes since it was Alaskan crab, strange to order in a steak place but they prepared it very well. My husband and one of our friends had steak. Of course I had to taste test the steak my husband had which was wonderful, very tender and full of flavor. I still give the edge to Sullivan's but not by alot. You can't go wrong in going here at all

“Great Service and Food..but lacking Ambiance: 2 out of 3 isn't bad”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013

My boyfriend and I went to Morton's over the Memorial Day Weekend. He had been to other Morton's but this was my first time. It was nice to take advantage of the complimentary valet, the gentleman was very nice and quick! We had 8p.m. reservations and we were about 20 min early. The hostess sat us within 10 min of being there which was very nice. We started out with salads, which the portions were bigger than your average restaurant. Our main entree, we had steaks, and I did the mixed grill which had shrimp, scallops, and steak. One thing is for sure, Morton's knows how to cook your steak right!!! The service was awesome! We had Sue, she was very knowledgeable, nice, and made my first time there great! The only negative feedback that we noticed was the ambiance. The restaurant states that the attire should be business casual; however, there were people in the restaurant wearing sweats, jeans, and other summer casual apparel. Lastly, we had decided to go to this restaurant to have a romantic dinner together, and it was extremely noisy and kids everywhere. I would not suggest going there on a date but definitely for a family outing!

Can't wait to try other Morton's!

“Birthday Celebration”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

We went to Morton's for our son's 13th birthday. The service started out well. They provide a birthday menu keepsake, framed photo and dessert and birthday dessert which is a nice touch to make the evening special. We had a late afternoon reservation and were seated promptly and served our appetizer/salad selections promptly. Unfortunately timing for main was too quick. We hadn't finished the first course. We felt rushed. The side vegetables are enough for two. The portions are smaller than competitors however are more expensive. After feeling rushed it took quite a while for dessert to arrive and even longer for the check. The staff is very professional but timing is off. The restaurant is well appointed and the food is good, but enjoy The Chop House more for the money.
