My stay was for ten days. I'll begin this critique by praising a wonderful young woman at the front desk named Shana, a lovely and terriffic person-very warm and personable. Otherwise there are several day-to-day internal operational issues which seem to be lacking. Dog feces are deposited on every part of the property including an area with picnic tables, truly a disgusting sight. Trash receptacles are overflowing with soda, beer, water bottles and all sorts of litter deposited everywhere, with a bin dedicated to dog waste which is also also overflowing. I commented on the matter to a young woman walking a dog and she claimed it's been that way for several months, (she stated that she's been there with her family for nearly a year) and that the hotel has recently been under scrutiny by the corporate management. If these issues aren't troubling enough, breakfast didn't quite measure up contrary to the advertisments on TV and the website showing muffins and fruit, it consisted of oatmeal bars and a few apples. By the end of my stay, coffee creamers had disappeared and a group of men had taken over the picnic area in the evenings, smoking marajuana, falling-down-drunk and cooking on a portable grill. One evening three teens were runnng the halls, sitting in the stairwells and banging on doors. I believe the reason for these problems is due to inexperience of the staff as most employees seemed to be approx 25 years of age including the manager, whom I believe is named Jessica (although she seemed very nice), perhaps she's not experienced enough for the position at hand. These are minor issues which seem to go unnoticed but can be remedied quickly. I'll end by saying that I will be returning in the near future on business and hope that things have improved.

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at our Extended Stay America Philadelphia - King of Prussia. Given our company's commitment to superior guest service, it was great to read about your positive experience with Shana. Of course, I was disheartened to read that your stay wasn't 100% satisfactory. You certainly have my sincerest apologies
The experiences you described for the condition of the exterior, trash receptacles, and guest disturbances is truly regrettable. We strive to ensure that our guests have an exceptional stay. As this hotel’s manager, I can assure you that I have brought each of the issues you expressed to the attention of our staff.
We know that we didn’t get to be a member of America’s number one family of extended stay hotels over night; we did it by focusing on one customer at a time. We know that a totally satisfied customer is one who will come back and stay with us again. That is why we take your review so seriously. It reminds us that despite all of the regular praise we receive, we still have room to improve.
Although it is unusual for a guest to have the experience you did while staying with us, we would like to use your account to help us make our hotel even better. Again, I am deeply sorry that you did not have a completely enjoyable stay at our hotel, and I promise that we are focused on total guest satisfaction every day. I do hope that you will let me demonstrate our redoubled efforts in the future here or at any of Extended Stay Hotels(sm)' other locations throughout the U.S. and in Canada.
