We had reservations for a Christmas show called Christmas with the Celts. The weather was horrible. The area was experiencing an ice and snow storm which made it very dangerous to drive up the mountain to Penn's Peak, not to mention the drive down.
We discovered when we read the fine print that Penn's Peak does not cancel so we braved the storm anyway, rather than lose the money we paid. What a mistake. The show was the worse we ever saw. There was one unflattering Christmas tree on the side of the stage and the band did not play or sing any recognizable Christmas songs. We opted to leave at intermission which was the right decision as the storm was getting worse. We will never book a reservation in the winter at Penn's Peak again, especially knowing they will only cancel if the band cancels and then with conditions.
