“Not so good”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2014

My husband and I had lunch there today as well as two weeks ago. On my last review I gave this place top marks but this time the food was very average . Yes it was very quite but the food was very dry and tasteless . We won't be going back, very disappoint .

“Back to the buffet, again and again and again.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2014

Haven't been here for many years and decided to give it a go again. Lots to choose from, roasts, cold seafood, salads, chinese dishes and desserts. I think it's great value for $25 in this day and age, yes you get more choice from bigger buffets elsewhere, but you will pay a much higher price. I got my money back just in the amount of prawns I ate (I like prawns). Just be sure to take only what you can eat from the buffet, some people there quite obviously had eyes much bigger than their stomachs.

“Not what I expected”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2013

Having read the reviews we put this on our list of eateries to visit whilst on holidays.
The club is very dated and a long way in from the main road, but it's located on the water so if you get a table near a window you can view out over the lake.
Our visit took place on Friday 27/12/13
Yes there are fresh prawns, crab, oysters and many 'pre-made' salads. Anything that was fried ie Calamari, fish, spring rolls etc, tasted terrible and the batters so thick and soaked in oil.
We looked at the carvery and the mixed vegetables - some were baked some were frozen. We also looked at the chinese selections but nothing grabbed us here either.
So it was off to the desserts where these fared much better, basic, but better.
So on my visit I ate:
8 prawns, a scoop of vanilla ice cream, a slice of pavlova and a chocolate slice.

I tasted a calamari ring (not recommended) dim sim (also not recommended) spring roll (definately not recommended).

Service wasn't the best either.

For what they offer and where it is located, try somewhere else ie Twin Towns Club. Perhaps during Christmas time less effort is put into the foods compared to other times of the year.

“Spoilt for choice.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2013

My husband and I have dined here many times for lunch and for dinner. The Buffett is the best value with such a variety of different choices. Even if you had one mouthful of everything on offer you wouldn't even get half way through.
There is fresh seafood, cooked seafood, many many salads as well as a roast section. There is also a Chinese section that is really very good. They will cook you a steak or a fillet of fish to order. Then there is dessert bar as well.
The quality and variety of the food is well worth a visit and it will keep you coming back again and again.

“Great cheaper dinner option for families”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

Been coming to cool- tweed golf club to play golf and for dinner for years...

The golf is always fantastic ..

and Dinner is good for the price , such a busy club on some nights..

The Staff are always friendly though...

The food is consistently good, I think you cant expect 5 star for the price..

My fav are the deserts and freshly cooked fish on the grill..

Only bad thing for me, is the chairs are dated and I find them uncomfortable..

But I suppose with great prices, I should not complain

But I recommend highly for locals and tourists especially families..

Also I feel the signage for tourists is not good though..

And only locals seem to know this gold coast gem is there ..

Enjoy Cooly-tweed golf club like the locals do.
