“Disappointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

A work colleague recommended this place so I was looking forward to it. Our waitress was lovely but the food was so average and definitely overpriced. The pork belly was tiny, which the waitress mentioned upon ordering and suggested a serve of veges which was also then ordered and just was well.....it was even smaller than described. The flavour was nice but nothing more. The veges were bland. The so called sourdough bread was not sourdough just an average Vienna style bread which had been warmed up but you could still tell it was stale. The other dishes were overcooked and definitely not worth the price. Would not recommend to anyone and would never go there again.

“This is what the coast has been missing.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013 via mobile

We just had lunch and it was great. The atmosphere is lovely, looking out over the lake and watching a storm front come in was awesome. The food is good, I had the winter salad although it could have had a little less onion it was really nice. My fiancé had the pork belly,it was a small serving and luckily the waitress suggested we get a side serving to go with it. The side serving off chips was huge! And tasty. Their coffee is the best around. Service was fast and friendly. We had our lunch done in an hour despite their being a function on upstairs. I'm not sure why this place gets bad reviews? There are definitely lots of bad places to eat on the central coast and this is not one of them!

Maybe chef and maitre' d were having a day off ... it was Monday .. But I wont return to find out .. If you want a gr8 coffee hands up .. if not pick your day carefully

5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013

We travel around the Central Coast most weekends on our motorbike trying out breakfast Cafes, this we would have to say, is one of the best on the coast. Delicious Coffee and Food. Very professional staff and excellent service.

“UNINVITING”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

Firstly, the staff were excellent, but that's where the praise ends. The service was the slowest I've ever experienced, taking up to an hour between courses. The food was luke warm, tasteless and poorly presented. We had the set menu which was $45 for two courses and $55 for three courses, terribly overpriced for the standard of the meal. The restaurant is in a wonderful location, but really does need updating. Unfortunately, the location will not attract me back again to this restaurant.
