“Pleasant stay but needs a spruce up”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013

As already said, the hotel is showing its' age. It is in a great position with rooms available with water views. Our room was comfortable despite needing updating - with a queen and a single. The hot breakafast was fine. Not flash but all we wanted. The little outside area where we sat was lovely though again needed a spruce up. Only a few tables so get in before the rush. Should be a ban on people speaking on their mobile phones at breakfast though! - what a way to ruin the ambiance. We were there to attend a function elsewhere and for that the accommodation served its purpose well. Seemed a lot of groups staying which fits in with a larger establishment. We did not use the restaurant but it was busy on the Saturday night. We'd stay again and hope to see the place returned to former glory - I did hear a whisper of money to be spent? Only half an hour drive from the airport.

The hotel is very old and tired and needs a major refurbishment. The meals are terrific and when breakfast is included in the deal, its great. The TV's need upgrading because you can't access all the free to air stations. The staff are most helpful and very polite.

Got a really good deal with breakfast. Hotel in general and room in particular are showing their age and are in desperate need of a good renovation job. Breakfast was simple but adequate. Guest parking was scarce on Saturday night.

Stayed in a spa room. Great water views, room & bed comfortable. Only basic television, however you can stay at home to watch television. Plenty of things to do however weather put a dampner to that but the weather cannot be controlled. Great breakfast. Would return to stay again and recommend to others.

We stayed during the Easter break and had our best holiday ever. Furniture in rooms are a little outdated and tv reception not great but we were hardly in the rooms and it was very clean and functional. We stayed in a spa room. With the wharf behind to fish from and a private beach and the hotel organising an Easter egg hunt and jumping castle for the kids there was something to do for mum, dad and our toddler.
Staff were fantastic and friendly. We come here every year.
