We happened upon Koala Shores Holiday Park and have been returning ever since to occupy powered ensuite sites and on one occasion, a cabin. Situated on Tilligerry Creek, Koala Shores boasts spectacular sunrises and sunsets. We especially enjoy the wild birdlife, water birds, possums, dolphins and the natural habitat of koalas.
Fishing from the jetty or rocks is a pleasant pastime especially in such tranquil surrounds. The several kilometre boardwalk along the Creek is an easy walk or a cycle ride.
We find Koala Shores HP peaceful, quiet and very safe which makes for a relaxing time. Some of the many features we enjoy include:
Minutes’ drive to tourist attractions
Oyster farmers passing by
Hornets and Hawks flying in formation
The many water activities – skiing, boat-fishing, canoeing
Minutes’ drive to shopping centre and golf course
Bakery and takeaway seafood
The 4pm daily supply of cheap fresh fish, prawns and oysters by Wally and Daphne is a special treat.
Koala Shores is ideal for persons of all ages – us oldies, young couples, groups and families with young/teenage children. The range of activities and facilities are innumerable. The setting is idyllic, the Park is very clean and well maintained and perhaps most importantly, the managers, Sonia and Jason and staff – Robyn, Jayne, Veronica, John, to name a few – are very hospitable, accommodating, efficient, unobtrusive and very welcoming. We are left with the feeling that we are valued guests.
