“Super Friendly staff...CONVENIENT and Great food...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2012

I usually stay at The Station in Jindabyne...staying here was waaay more convenient but alot pricier obviously...it's about a 200m walk from the Skitube terminal or organise with the lodge for them to pick you up..Breakfast consisted of small buffet of hot food, cereals and tea & coffee...dinner was amazing...a 3 course meal of soup of the day, Lamb rump and veggies and dessert...there is a bar on site as well as a large shared living area with multiple lounges and a large tv, vcr, cable tv etc however it is located directly outside some bedrooms so hope there is a quiet crowd staying there...the best thing though has to be the ability to ski/board straight over to the quad chair. This can only be done if there has been a snowfall though otherwise you will have to walk over the bridge...Not having to worry about driving from Jindabyne in the mornings was great which meant an extra half hour to sleep in...There is a shared dry room as well for all the wet gear...gets pretty stinky as you could imagine...As cars cannot be left overnight in the carpark, your best option is to park in the overnight section at Bullocks Flats(Skitube) which is Free and take the skitube up to the mountain...the rooms are a little cramped...2 bunk beds and 2 singles and a tiny bathroom but we were only in there to sleep anyways so weren't really fussed...Staff are really friendly and more than happy to assist you..

Room Tip: I would recommend you book a room which is not adjacent to the living/common area...one poor family...

Thanks for the feedback, even though the location does sell itself, I'm glad to hear the staff and meals were great as well. Having now stayed on mountain I hope we can entice you back next year.

After reading some of the poorer reviews on this site I was nervous about staying here. However the place has clearly come under new management. The rooms were comfortable and warm (not modern but I don't think that really matters in the long run) and the staff very friendly. The food was amazing, much more and better quality than I was expecting. The location is also pretty good only being about 5 - 10 minutes away from Front Valley. Would highly recommend this lodge and will probably be returning with friends next year.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. You are right in saying the managers are new as this is their first time at Corroboree although they have been with us in other management positions for quite a few years and clearly the crew are doing something right. Lee and Shaye would love to see you back soon. Thanks again!

Just spent the last week of July at Corroboree Lodge. Most impressed, accomodation was fantastic we had a great room overlooking Front Valley. Food was excellent great choice and very impressed with the vegetarian choices as well. Sure we have all put on weight. Loved that we could step out the front door and put on our snowboard and skis and within minutes we were on the quad. My parents stayed here 46 years ago and now our family have visited I can see this maybe the 1st of many years to come for us. I would also like to say a big thanks to Lee and Shay and the rest of the staff and can't wait to come back and stay next year. Regards Evans Family..

Thanks for the fantastic review, its not every day we hear from guests who's parents stayed with us almost 50 years ago. Lee and Shaye loved having you and the pics you provided now have pride of place at Corroboree reception for all to enjoy. Again a big thank you and we'll see you back next year!

Stayed here for a few nights with family. Great location, beautiful views. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Were able to check in early with no problems. Food was good, good variety and choice. The rooms are in need of an update, beds pretty uncomfortable, bathrooms tiny. Common area, lounge room nice and big, but new furniture would be nice. All in all a nice place to stay.

Wow tough marker! Glad you like most aspects of your stay but obviously disappointed the furnishings and bathroom size let us down. We are halfway through a soft refurbishment in both public areas and guest rooms. Unfortunately it appears you may have got one of the older rooms as beds have been replaced in the others. Being a seasonal property we don't have the year round income streams that allow contstant updating as you see in city or year round properties but we try to compensate by having attentive staff that love what they do. Hopefully if you come back we get you to a 4!

Will be going back again.
Highly recommended :)
Cheers.

Perfect location - 10 minute walk / ski to the Perisher Centre. The Staff are so welcoming. From our arrival at Perisher, to the oversnow transport and the lodge staff who worked tirelessly to ensure our stay on the snow was 10/10 - we could not fault our time at Corroboree. Our package included breakfast and three course dinner each night. The food was fantastic. This is lodge style accommodation where everyone shares dinner at the same time. We were there during the school holidays and even though we were a couple, the family atmosphere was great. There is a bar to purchase drinks with Schnappy Hour for those who are game! The wine and drinks were between pub and restaurant prices. The room had the most amazing view over the slopes. The room was huge and warm. The ensuite was private and the showers hot! We had some reservations before our stay, given some less than positive feedback about the lodge on this site - but it could not have ben further from the truth. We will be back!

Room Tip: We had Room 8. Rooms 9 and 10 would have shared our spectacular view.

My partner and I stayed here for one week this month. The lodge is in a great location (very close to lifts) and the staff are very friendly, helpful and accomodating.
The rooms were basic but clean and spacious and more than sufficient for what we required. The common lounge area with tv was great for socialising with our friends, as was the bar area.
The provided dinner and breakfast was fantastic too!!! 3 Course dinners that were very large and tasty, and breakfast also changed daily which was great. We found it a bit of a drawback having a set time for dinner (6.30) but I guess that caters to families also.
We did attempt to go out to dinner one night, however nothing was open and the place we did find had food that was nowhere near as good as Corroborree.. We learnt our lesson and were happy to never leave Corroboree again!! The drinks at the bar were also very reasonably priced.
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and if we went back to Perisher would probably stay here again.
