Waterskiing family? if you are and want a private boatramp onto an excellent ski spot with very good quality accommodation - this is an excellent place to go.
My family are NOT skiers but enjoy a lovely spot of bushwalking, swimming, fishing, drawing and generally taking some time out from city life. This was our first trip to Shoalhaven Lodge (we stayed in the Waratah) and it won't be our last.
Wildlife - lizards, a large mob of kangaroos (and their little in-pouch joeys), wombats and plenty of flathead, sand whiting and bream for our nightly fishing trips from the property watersedge.
Spacious, clean lodges with well stocked kitchen facilities/tools although we found that the bbq was not clean and we didn't want to do it, so we used the internal gas stove/oven which was fine. Good linen and decent bathrooms with the usual for a high standard stay including hairdryer - but don't come expecting to sit in front of the tv as reception is a bit ordinary (this wasn't a big issue as there is plenty of lounging around to be done on the deck). All on tank water, so suggest you bring drinking water if you are inclined to have crystal clear drinks.
Shopping and local attractions are not far away - about 15 minutes drive to Nowra and the the same to the Naval Air Museum.
Would we go again and recommend it to our friends - yes!
