“Long overdue”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

Its about time Nelson Bay had a restaurant like this, great FRESH (not frozen) meals, this is like eating at a top restaurant yet the prices are very reasonable. My husband and I had a great time and the owner even came over and had a laugh with us and let us know about the fresh seafood and where it came from. Wine is affordable and a great selection, we are here for 3 notes and will be back again Friday nite......Thanks Watercress.......

“Great Place to Eat”

Excellent Restaurant. Service outstanding staff could have not been more helpful and the food was outstanding with prices that are reasonable. Will be eating there again in the near future.

“wow”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

At first I was worried turning up to dine at Zest Restaurant only to find that it had been closed :( & reopened as watercress.
We were assured that we would enjoy ourselves with the new relaxed menu & dining room, especially once we found out that the team & chef was still the same from the Zest era.
Service was great, menu had a great variety to choose from that you could eat there several times without eating the same dish twice.
Prawn Orecchiette was sublime as was the Chicken with Gnocchi followed by Chocolate Fondant with a rich gooey centre.
With the wine list, great value & wine by the glass are $10.
It's almost sad that Zest has gone but it lives on in watercress at a even better price BARGAIN
Well done & we'll be back for lunch soon.

“Wonderful :)”

The sizes were great, the atmosphere was nice and relaxed.
You really got value for your money.
The head chef is a really nice guy and all the wait staff did their job well.
One of the best restaurants in the bay.

“Little gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

Ate here last night (13/8/13) best meal we've had in Australia. One bloke in the kitchen, one waiter - good-humoured and laid back, even with our three teenagers. 45.00 dollars gets you two courses of top notch cooking, loads of good flavours, stylish but not fussy. Good wine list too. Highly recommended. Best dessert was the liquorice semi freddo, ordered it thinking "what the hell, I'm up for a laugh", ended up wishing I could have licked the plate clean. Scrumptious.
