Sunday breakfast here on a quiet, cool weekend was delis.
The menu was varied - 2 sorts of pancakes, 9 (!) different types of Eggs Benedict, museli, french toasts...so very spoilt for choice.
Everything is prepared fresh and the product is really good quality. Bacon arrives as proper bacon and not as mega pieces of fried fat with tiny piece of meat attached.
Poached eggs were done brilliantly - all the white cooked and the yellow still oozy.
Lovely ambience, fun to watch the chefs (only 3 on this particular day) at work - but sadly the coffee is not anything to rave about. Bitter aftertaste, the bean fairly ordinary and the milk was too hot.
Also prices are bordering on above average.
If I ever frequent Nelson Bay again, this will be my breakfast haunt.
