“Average food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2014

Very impressed the store was open at 8am on New Year's Day!! My hangover says thank you.
We bought a fruity sourdough, bacon and egg rolls & quiches.
The rolls were ok but had no sauce that I think it really needed. I didn't like the pastry on the breakfast quiche, too sweet for a savoury quiche; and the sourdough was nice.

“Great pies and pastries”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2013

What a find. Stopped here recently on a road trip and it will definitely be a favourite in future. Open from early in the morning, they have plenty of pies and sausage rolls and breakfast options available. Great to sit at the rustic tables, inside or outside, having a quiet read of the paper. There's parking out the back, off street too.

My pie on this occasion was delicious, full of meaty chunks and the pastry was very tasty too, not over cooked. Staff are friendly and welcoming, must be used to visitors. Prices are reasonable for a bakery. Take some time to read about the history of the building and district, it's a fascinating building.

“Best Bakery in Australia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

I was driving down to Batemen's Bay for the weekend and had read about the Heritage Bakery in the Open Road Mag. They were right it is a great place to stop with a huge car park which accommodated the trailer camper no problems and great clean fancy toilets. The food was fantastic, we filled up on pies and sandwiches made on their great sourdough. The fruit flans were so yummy with the great coffee. The staff were very friendly and we loved the character of the 1870's building. We will make this our waypoint when we venture down these parts again

“Best Sourdough”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2013

Haven't been to this bakery since they have started making bread. I was blown away by their fig and cranberry sourdough. The best I've ever had, heaps of fruit and an amazing flavour. They really know what they are doing.

“Pies were tasty and pretty average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2013

We ordered the Mexican and lamb with rosemary pies. Both pies were OK but nothing to write home about. Will try the pasties next time.
