“The best North Indian food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013

After reading reviews here, we decided to try out this restaurant during a short visit to Kiama. We were so glad that we did! It is located slightly off the main street.

We ordered vegetarian meals, namely Palak Paneer and Paneer Di Piazza (aka butter paneer) for mains. The former is our usual yardstick when comparing food at different Indian restaurants. These were authentic and extremely tasty. The rotis and naans were freshly made and fluffy. Their service was friendly and extremely swift, as it was not a peak season. We can't wait for our next trip here to try them again..

“Excellent Indian food and wonderful service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2013

We chose J.J's as it was featured in the Rotary coupon book. Having never heard of J.J 's we had no expectations, and were pleasantly surprised. The onion bhaji (my barometer dish for how the meal is likely to be) was flavourful, generous and not too oily, as some restaurants make it. My husband and son had the samosa appetizer, which was also yummy. My 3 teen kids, hubby and I shared 4 mains (Bombay beef, Butter chicken, tikka chicken and Kashmir kurma lamb) plus rice and Garlic Naan and could not finish it all. The butter chicken was the stand out for me, though my boys loved the Kashmir kurma. We had a lovely young waiter who was extra attentive and the service was quick. The atmosphere is more relaxed than most Indian restaurants, but that suited us fine. With drinks, including 2 lovely glasses of Hole in the Water cab sav, the meal was $127. Will definitely visit again:-)

“Managed to satisfy my craving for indian food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2013

Having read the reviews i had decided to pop by JJs at Kiama. We ordered a prawn masala, chicken tikka masala, rogan josh, butter chicken with some naans and rice. My chicken tikka was awesome, and i loved that there was comparably more meat in the curry than some of the restaurants in Sydney. The prawn masala also fantastic, also finished the curry to the last drop. It can be quite noisy when u have other groups but the deco and ambience is really nice and suitable for a date. The young aussie waiter gave us fantastic service, too bad i didn't catch his name. We spent about $94 for 4 person after discount.
