5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2013

Hotel is situated in an ideal location, the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room, including bathroom was clean to a high standard and very roomy. The breakfast was first class andas it was included in room rate, great value. We have stayed at the hotel on a number of occasions and have alway enjoyed the experience, we are look forward to our next stay.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2013

We stayed for just 1 night to get away from Sydney. While the place was lovely, it probably wasn't 4.5 stars, but it's also a lot more affordable than most 4.5 star places. While the balcony had views of the train tracks, it was very quiet. The bar was lovely with great service & the breakfast was amazing with a huge choice and complementary newspapers. Would definitely stay again.

great place to get away from sydney - close enough for convenience and far enough for a breath of fresh air - great service - lovely hotel - delicious breakfast - a lot of nice places to eat in town - could not ask for more - we are looking forward to doing it again and again and again.

Stayed for a conference. Hotel is in a very pleasant location. Rooms reasonable size and comfortably furnished. Very comfortable bed.

Large TV with free to air and limited range of Foxtel channels (mainly sport). Staff friendly - though we twice had to get reception to fix our room cards which had stopped letting us into our room. I believe this was because some new staff members had trouble properly programming the cards. The food was pretty standard fare but generally OK.

The bathroom was quite large. The bath tub was very deep which was nice in a way but I could imagine some people having trouble getting out. The shower is over the bath.

Would be happy to come back.

Beautiful town Kiama, the hotel blending in with the surroundings, great friendly staff, groovy rooms, great food, if I could be picky the only thing I found wanting is the beside lamps weren't bright enough for reading in bed!

I have stayed here a couple of times over the past few years, and have always found it to be an excellent hotel.

Kiama is a lovely place, and would suit either a winter or summer weekend getaway from Sydney. If it's wet and wild you've got the blowhole and the shops and cafes to visit. If it's sunny you've got the coastal walk, beaches, parks and the blowhole (which may be a little smaller if the sea isn't choppy).

The staff in this hotel are great - all are very friendly and helpful, while still managing to be very efficient. It really has that relaxed and friendly country town vibe.

We bought a can of peaches for dessert from the nearby Woolworths, but needed a can opener to open them. I went to Reception and asked for one - the woman on the desk said they'd probably only have big industrial ones (in the kitchen downstairs), so she sent another female staff member up to our room to collect them. Less than 10 minutes later she appeared with our opened can of peaches on a tray, along with tablecloth, napkins, cutlery and two bowls. All of this for a $2 can of peaches that we had bought from outside the hotel!

We were very happy with the service - the staff certainly went over and above what would have been expected of them.

I'd highly recommend this hotel, and Kiama.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking Minnamurra Road are preferable to ones overlooking the railway line.

Considering the last minute booking to join family, we were happily rewarded with a friendly receptionist and delightful spacious room with lovely balcony.
Value for money was extraordinary, king size room and excellent breakfast included. Would happily have another stay and thoroughly recommend the Hotel to all.
