“Better than expected - loved it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

After reading mixed reviews I was not sure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised to find a high standard of quality, cleanliness and service. The cabin was well appointed, comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed the location. It was a perfect spot to stay for the Kiama Jazz & Blues Festival. It is within easy waking distance all most of the venues, restaurants, cafes and bars.
This trip it was just the two of us but I would happily return with children and even grandchildren.

I was looking forward to sitting on the balcony overlooking the ocean. Sadly I was put in a back cabin, with no ocean visible, just the back of two more cabins and hot water cylinders.

The cabin was pretty basic, I did not notice any of the luxury they discuss. It was very dark and dull inside, the very few windows all dark wood blinds and the ocean only distantly visible from the kitchen window. Table very scratched and dated, bed uncomfortable. It was the wrong accommodation for me and I did not enjoy it., I fact checked out after just one night and found a place with a comfy bed!

Room Tip: Don't go unless you get one with ocean views

We stayed here for the weekend for a friends wedding in November. The staff were lovely and friendly, our cabin was exactly what we wanted and was perfectly set up with everything you need to be self sufficient but close enough to every amenity to go out for dinner or a drink and walk home.
The views from the cabins are second to none, absolutely stunning. When they say "at the blowhole" they really mean it. You couldn't get any closer without being in it!
The beds were comfy, the kitchen and bathroom clean and modern and there was a lovely deck out the front.
I guess the only possible downside is that some of the cabins are quite close together so if you are out on the deck you could feel as though you were looking into another cabin but as we were in and out and not spending a great deal of time there it didn't matter.
All in all we had a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend it to friends. We'd like to go back again and stay longer.

We arrived to a beautiful view, but walking up the steps we started to see this place was dirty. Okay opened the "hard to open sliding door", which we told them about, but nothing done. Well the stench was unbearable, opened the windows quickly but the filth around the blinds and windows, I started to feel dirty myself. The carpet was putrid, I kept my thongs on at all times, the table sticky. I bought airfreshners galore and kept the windows open!!!! Be careful when you book and don't go to cabin 15. They weren't even appolegetic about these conditions, they said most people don't care! I knew something was not right when we first got there as there was no friendliness but straight away they wanted the money. The views are fantastic but oh my god they should not call their cabins luxury cabins.

Room Tip: Not cabin 15!!!

Having just been ripped off by Bannister's at Mollymook we had decided to end our trip early from the South Coast to my utter disappointment.

We stopped in Kiama and my b/f happened to spot the cabins from the other side of the harbour and drove us straight to reception. We were very lucky that there had been a cancellation and there was Cabin 2 (from memory) available for the night!

What a fabulous place to stay! Great location, everything you could think of is provided, clean and tidy and great views! You have the sea in front, lighthouse to the right and harbour to the left. What more could you ask for.

With shops only a short card ride (or an extended walk) away we brought groceries and had a seafood BBQ on our balcony. It was the perfect end to out first trip down the NSW South Coast.

Thank you! I highly recommend this property.

We stayed here for 2 nights over the Christmas break.
Had a cabin over looking the harbour which was lovely.
Cabin was clean and well set up.
So close to Kiama that we did not drive for the 3 days we were there.
Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return

Room Tip: Choose a cabin overlooking the harbour

We stayed two nights in a 3 bedroom cabin for our niece's wedding at Bush Bank, Kiama. The bedroom configuration is a double bed with ensuite, 2 bunk beds and 4 bunk beds. There is also a separate bathroom and toilet. The kitchen is well equipped but no dishwasher. There is a washer and dryer but the washer is a bit confusing to use.
Generally the cleaniless is good except for the huge amount of dust on the venetian window blinds and the bird droppings on the verandah floor and the seats.
There is a large LCD TV in the living area and a 20 inch LCD TV in the master bedroom. There is no internet as the paid service accessible near the office is unreliable. The cost is $5AUD for 30 minutes. Instead, we bought a 60 minute card for $5 at the video store near Woolworths. Apparently visitors can use te internet for free at the Legions. Ask the Tourist Information at the Blowhole for a list of internet access.
The location of the Cabins is a 5 minute walk from the blowhole which gave us a spectacular show while we were there as a huge storm just went by. We even had a midnight display of the blowhole while we were there.

Room Tip: Select a cabin away from the road which could be noisy.
