“Disgusting!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2012

There was literally nowhere to stay in Wagga (the floods, a shooters convention) so we went on to Junee. The motel was full so, out of desperation, we ended up in this vile dump.
The mens' toilet had the lock ripped off the door, leaving a huge hole. The shower recess we used had a moving floor: it would seem the wood underneath had rotted away caused a squelching movement...
The room stank so much we had to leave the window open all night, thus the sound of the creaking bed-springs could be heard all over town..
Next to the common room (no, the television is still not working) was the other mens' bathroom. Three toilet cubicles: one with no workings, a second one clogged up, and the third one... yes, working! but, toilet paper is YOUR problem,
There was a shower cubicle with no privacy, but that didn't matter as the faucets had been removed. There was a sink but again the faucets had been removed. Finally a bathroom, also used as a storeroom... the bath was absolutely disgusting, black with dirt, but there was a shower which did work, even though the faucet fell off and rolled across the room.
I've been in some dumps in my time, but this one...!.

Room Tip: Do not cross thr threshold of this dump.

The Junee Hotel is a dump,it's cheap but it's full of late night loud drunks and rats.It needs a paint job, floor covers and total rewire. What a nightmare of a place. They should pay you to stay there.

Room Tip: Don't go there,

If your hungry and near Junee N.S.W. head to the Junee Hotel. The food is excellent and the prices are so cheap. T-bone steak with 6 vegies, $16.00, and chocolate pudding $5. The people are friendly as well. We did not stay there, only enjoyed the food.

Strange place this. Most people in town weren't very friendly. It was a bit deserted at this time of year. Whole place seems to exist to service the railway. Mein host laid down strict ground rules and seemed quite suspicious of us. Absolutely no food or drink to be brought into the rooms. If you do, you will be asked to leave without refund.
Rooms were huge and reasonably clean. There were no fans or air conditioners so we were lucky it wasn't too hot. Amenities were very tired looking with plumbing and fixtures worn out, ladies toilet was closed due to blocked drains. Breakfast was included in the $45 a double rate but was just a 'get it yourself' affair from the communal TV room. TV in TV didn't work. The town has very little to offer tourists passing through. Consider staying in Young or Wagga as alternative. PS Whatever you do don't wake up the traindrivers!!
