My wife & I traveled around NSW recently, never been to the Riverina we stopped in Cootamundra, to have a look around, we got talking to some lovely local people, they suggested to go see the Junee licorice factory, they recommended to have a coffee and lunch at the restaurant and fill up on chocolate coated inca berries.
well with clear directions we walk into a busy and buzzing cafe, where the friendly staff took our order for 2 cappucinos and great scones, we finished them then went upstairs to the delightful giftshop, we joined the licorice tour then had wonderful experiance with the restaurant sitting outside was fantastic, amazing lunch and wine, highly recommend to others to visit the factory and make sure you have plenty of time , you can spend the whole day there.
We will diffinately be back the next time we visit the area and stock up on those amazing inca berries!

“Yum yum yum!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

Beautiful old building, fantastic food (who knew licorice tasted soooo good on the day it is made) and great for the kids. Staff extremely friendly and the food was great. Lots of places to sit - either outside in the garden or inside. Live music, tours and a shop where you can stock up. Can't wait to visit again.

“A flying visit.”

We were just driving through so only stopped briefly at the factory shop. The chocolates we bought were consumed pretty quickly and were delicious. The restaurant was very busy and it seemed to have a nice vibe.
