“Not worth the hype”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2013 via mobile

We dined here for dinner on a Saturday night.

Overall we enjoyed the food but was disappointed at the value for money and the time it took for food to be turned around. For example, $15 for three small gnocchi and $16 for half a martini glass sized apple crumble wasn't worth it.

We dined here based on a recommendation from a local B&B and the website looked great. It took almost an hour and a half for our mains to arrive after ordering.

The eye fillet was very tasty and the waitstaff were very pleasant but we won't be rushing back next
time.

“Great meal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013 via mobile

We ate here with friends and really enjoyed it. We had the wontons, scallops and pork tasters to start which were delicious. I had the steak for my main and it was just perfect, we all had lovely mains. For dessert I shared the brownie which was a little disappointing, very small amount in a glass. Great wine list and good service though. Nice place to eat whilst visiting jervis bay.

“Average night out”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2013

My daughter booked table for 6 plus highchair for my wife's birthday. We were told in a very grumpy way that we had the baby's pram I'm the way. The water arrived very quickly and then we waited and waited. The waitress,s seemed very unorganised, we had 4 different ones serving us,they didn't see to have a section to look after ( they were all over the place like headless chooks). The food was very good entree was great, main course, most of us had the fillet steak which arrived almost cold.
Won't be rushing back.

“Overly priced restaurant”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

The service was great but unfortunately the quality of food was a huge let down. We had the scallops and mushroom dumplings tasters, they were Ok. For mains, we had the duck confit and chicken. The mains were bland and we could not finish them. We didn't stay for dessert.

“Lovely ambiance, slow service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

My husband and I were very excited to have a night out without the kids and were looking forward to a nice dinner at a lovely restaurant. There were plenty of empty tables as it was a Thursday in low season but we still had to wait 20mins before the waitress even asked us if we'd like something to drink. We gave our meal order at the same time (having had an unnecessarily long time to consider the menu) and still waited another 10mins for our wine to come. The trio of tasters arrived not long after and they were delicious - if a bit on the cool side temperature wise. We then waited about half an hour for our mains. I had the eye fillet and my husband had the lamb. I ordered the beef medium rare - it was overcooked, dry and lukewarm. The lamb was much better, cooked perfectly and warm. We were quite disappointed. We decided to order dessert in the hope that it would improve the meal. The banoffee pie was absolutely amazing - a real winner and the standout dish of the night. It was a shame the same couldn't be said for the chocolate marquise. The raspberry sorbet completely overpowered the chocolate which made for an average dessert. I don't think we'll be back.
