“Cute beachy hippie atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2012

We shared the "big pass breakfast" between my husband and I (20$), very filling and good value. Loved the skim latte. Watermelon juice I would pass on next time. Everyone is barefoot walking down the path in front of us. Peak of the ocean but not directly on it. Open airy seating very nice.

This cafe is in a perfect spot over looking the waters of Byron bay! ! Lunch was beautiful, kids enjoyed the outside dinning, even saw some local bird wild life!!

“Best start to the day!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

Can't beat a walk to the lighthouse, whale and dolphin watching and then a delightful breakfast on your way home at The Pass Cafe.
Staff are very welcoming, and I hope they can keep them and not end up like most Byron eateries and rely on transient, unskilled staff.
Food is really good, and you can't beat the location. Coffee is another highlight.
Haven't had lunch yet, but the menu is right on the money.

“Sensational spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2012

Had a great swim, watched a whale and then had a sensational breakfast. Great food, service and location. Best breakfast I and my family have had in a long time. Great to also get out of the hustle and bustle of the town. Thoroughly recommend it!! We're going back today!

“great setting good coffee”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2012

This cafe reopened after a concerted effort by locals to prevent it being turned into an exclusive holiday let. If you're going for lunch, best to walk along the beach or at least park up on lighthouse road because you won't get a park at the Pass.
A great semi-outdoor setting. Nice food though like everywhere in Byron Bay now, not cheap. If you want water with your coffee, it comes in plastic single-use 'disposable' cups.
A fine spot after a swim or walk to the lighthouse.
