Although everyone knows that Byron commends higher accommodation rates this one was not worth its $150!! To mention a few things...
Both the exterior & interior of this Motel (definitely NOT a Resort) is outdated and the entire place needs TLC. In my view as an ex International Hotelier it barely rates as a 3 star. Its location is really on the outskirts of the CBD approx.10 minutes of brisk walk.
Rooms are small and balconies are a bit of a waste of space. Old style furnishing with tiles which do not match the ones in the bathroom and bad choice of colors. Room only half carpeted. Bathrooms are are old and not too clean due to the age of the equipment and a lack of amenities such as no glass to brush your teeth unless you're happy to use a wine glass from you bar. No shower cap and bad ventilation!! Rooms facing the front a bit noisy due to main street. WiFi free but EXTREMELY slow!! Not enough hangers for two people (4).
On top floor the hospitality Suite for the tours is a nuisance due to the noise of people gathering there for Tea in the morning and in the evenings.
Would I recommend it... NO. Would I stay there again... NO!
