“Stunning view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2012

Lovely house taking in 180 degree view. Take some bubbles and nibbles to enjoy on the deck overlooking the pool and coastal view as the sun goes down. Would be a perfect place to stay at with 5 other couples. Brekky really lovely but for the price I resented having to pay even more for a cooked brekky. If that changed this place would be perfect.

Full house, shared with a number of couples all attending the same wedding. The house location and layout is great, really enjoyed the feel of it. The view was to die for. The staff were on the
ball and provided wonderful service for the breakfast experience. The rooms were clean however the decor was outdated and could benefit from a refresh and update.
For the cost I would have expected very modern appointments.
The beds were very comfortable and the linen etc was in good condition.
A little bit of traffic noise and the sun greets you through the shutters at sun rise.

Room Tip: The cheaper room is just as nice if not better positioned than the more expense suites.

We had our wedding ceremony here in November and couldn't have been happier with the venue. All rooms were taken by family members and it is a great spot to travel with a group. The rooms are nice and private but we spent a lot of time in the kitchen, living area and balcony all of which have fantastic views.

The staff are fantastic and go out of their way to make everything enjoyable. The breakfasts are a mixture of fresh fruits, cereals and different cooked dishes each day and all of these were better than the restaurant equivalents in town.

This is a lovely place to stay. Peaceful apart from the occasional car burning down Old Bangalow road not heard in the bedroom, or the moo of a cow which is great. The view is spectacular!!! We only had one night but hope to return. The room was surprisingly small but very comfortable. The bed as was described is two singles joined to make a KIng but you don't notice this and we actually love this idea. As my husband says I shower under a pressure hose, which didn't help in the bathroom that soon became saturated as the shower is not enclosed, and the faucet and shower head is on the wall next to the toilet - no curtain or box just free space for all in a 2 x2 bathroom. This aside the continental breakfast and service was amazing - the best pancakes I have had for a long time, and very fresh beautiful fruit. Privacy is a huge plus as there are only a few rooms. We felt we were the only ones there. The swimming pool very refreshing and while swimming you look over the entire coast Brunswick Heads to Lennox Head - I think - well a vast coast capturing Byron Bay. The town of Byron is 5 minutes away by car or a $20 taxi ride - lovely to be away from the hustle and bustle of Byron. It actually looks peaceful from the Summerhouse.
Everything is provided, beach/pool towels, robes, binoculars, books, magazines, dailly papers, dvd's, fresh coffee and tea.
We can't wait to go back - and my husband looks forward to the surf with the fabulous chef!

Room Tip: Luxury room best

My Fiance and i stayed here in Oct'11 and had a fantastic weekend break. The location is a little outside Byron itself but worth it for the amazing view and the quiet/peaceful setting. The guest house itself was beautiful and immacualtely presented throughout. The hosts were also great and provided a delicious breakfast each morning. The only complaint was that the double bed was made up of two matresses zipped together, we still slept well enough but were surprised by this. Would fully recommend the summerhouse for anyone wanting a romantic break in Byron Bay.

Have stayed here a few times. One word for this place, AMAZING! The road below is so not an issue when considering where you are staying and the gorgeous view. Most the time, you feel like you have the whole place to yourself. Have seen 2 sunrises from The Summerhouse, breathtaking! This place should be much higher rated on Trip advisor! Make sure you visit the Bangalow Markets, they are great!

Booked The Summerhouse for one night and we were treated to the luxury suite. The venue meets all you could want for in a bed and breakfast. The room was light and the king size bed was fantastically comfortable. But you don't book The Summerhouse for the accommodation. You book for the VIEW and it is fab!!! Even on a overcast day you can see a panaroma from the mountains to the coastline. The private balcony is large enough to enjoy a cold beverage and some nibbles before taking the short drive to either Byron Bay or Bangalow for dinner. Would stay here again in a flash.
