“Great Atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2012

My Friends and I went to Byron Bay for Splendour in the Grass we went to the beach hotel after one of the locals told us to go there. It had a HUGE bar area, really cool DJ, great service, great food, nice bathrooms and in general a great vibe. The Dj was playing a game with everyone called musical bingo and to my suprise I one and the prize was a free sky dive!
I recomend everyone check this place out if they are in Byron!

“If you want to sleep stay elsewhere”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012 via mobile

Despite some warnings from reviewers (about the noise) we took the plunge and booked the hotel for Saturday and Sunday night. At $300+ per night we were expecting a comfortable bed, modern furniture and decent sound proofing for a good nights sleep. Unfortunately none were delivered. We could live with the furniture and even an hard, old bed but at 1am on Sunday morning we were completely over it. Our room was on the opposite side of the hotel from the bar yet we could feel our room vibrating with sound ALL night. If you're thinking about staying here you may want to consider whether you'd prefer to sleep or stay in an amazing location because unfortunately at the beach hotel you can't do both.
The only positive was the lovely staff at the front desk who were obviously use to the complaints.

“Idyllic weekend away”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012 via mobile

We needed some time away to relax and unwind and we found the perfect place at Byron Bay. The Beach Hotel is perfect for a weekend of relaxation and fun. Perfect position opposite the beach, plenty of eateries at your fingertips, the music scene at the Beachy is fantastic, the beer garden , what a fun time we had there and the accommodation is comfortable with views of the ocean. We feel renewed and will go back soon.

“Atmospheric with a view!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2012

This place is perfect for an afternoon drink and to watch the world go by. The view out towards the ocean is second to none!

It is always packed, so it helps if you're patient to get that perfect table.

The food here is pretty good but certainly isn't cheap, a bowl of wedges are almost $10!

Didn't really have anything to do with the staff apart from when I ordered drinks and food, they seemed busy but efficient so no complaints there.

Overall this place is worth stopping by, just don't expect a cheap afternoon.

Above average pub food, but what a great way to spend an afternoon in the sun watching the world go by
